Psalm 56:3-4
(3) What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
(4) In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Psalm 56:8-11
(8) Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
(9) When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
(10) In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
(11) In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Trust is a very important matter. We place our trust in others. We place our trust that our vehicles will move us from one place to another. When we are going to a place unknown, we trust the GPS system to help us arrive. There have been many times when I would pray, "Lord, I have no idea where I am if I lose connection with this GPS." Talk about blind trust. But even in that, I find myself going to a higher source in that I pray to ask the Lord to help my connection remain. But then I realize the greatest tracking connection that I have is not in some electronic device; rather, the best tracking system is the true GPS (God's Positioning System). "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." There is no better place to put our confidence than in the wisdom, power, love, mercy, and grace of God.

I included verses 8-11 today because there are times in each of our lives when we feel like we are wandering in the wilderness. It seems our lives are going in circles and we cannot adjust our compass to get us going in the right direction. I am thankful that in those times, I can cry unto the Lord with great confidence. "... this I know; for God is for me"; therefore, "In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word." This speaks of our need for understanding God's Word and realizing it is through His power that we are able to walk with Him each day. Yes, there are times when we make wrong turns. We make wrong decisions. We find ourselves in a "dark loop" of going round and round. But even in those times, we can solemnly say, "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee."

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!

(Psalm 55:16-17) "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. (17) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."
(Psalm 55:22) "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

This 55th Psalm is a very interesting one, to say the least. Quite honestly, if I didn't know better, I would think it had been written within the past 4 years concerning our own nation. We read in the very middle of the Psalm, "For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance." (Psalm 55:12-13) One of Satan's most used tactics is to try to drive a wedge between people. And the wedge that is most often used is that of pride. We read in James 4:1, "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?" Yes, pride brings the desire for power and authority. And quite honestly, when reading today's Psalm, I was thinking of one side over another as to who it applied to. So just now I will ask, please do not make any political style comments about this writing; for I picked out three verses that I feel are needed for our nation in today's climate. It seems our nation has lost its true focus. To a great extent, we have taken our eyes off the Lord and therefore we have a sinking sensation. The Saviour of America is not a member of any political party. The Saviour of America is not a human being; though, for 33 1/2 years He took on Himself a human form. The Saviour of America is the only Lord of all, Jesus the Christ of God. My desire is to read and hear more about Jesus, not any man. May God bless America - Land that I love!

Until Prayer Changes Me
Sung by the Kingdom Heirs

Sometimes my burdens bring me to my knees
With problems I don't understand
I ask God to change it so I can arrange it
According to my master plan
But when I remember who parted the sea
And hung all the stars in the blue
I stop and surrender to the only heart mender
Who knows just what I need to do

And I pray until Heaven comes down
I stay on my knees till I've found
Peace and assurance and grace flowing free
I pray until prayer changes me

Psalm 54:1-7 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?
(1) Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
(2) Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
(3) For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
(4) Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
(5) He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
(6) I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
(7) For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
There is such a contrast between Psalm 53 and 54, in that previously the Psalmist declared, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." In today's Psalm, he speaks of the importance of calling upon the name of the Lord. I included all the verses of Psalm 54 because I just could not see a place to cut off the thoughts. All my life, I have heard it said, "There is no atheist in a foxhole." I have heard many instances of people crying out to God in their times of trouble. I have found myself in times when all I could do was to cry out to God, "Save me, O God, by thy name!" There is too much contained in this Psalm for me to comment on it all, but I encourage each of us to spend time reading, praying, meditating upon the words of the Psalmist.

"Hear my prayer, O God... I am in trouble. The accuser is rising up against me and seeking to rob me of all my peace and assurance.... But you, God, are my helper. You hold me up when I feel down and discouraged. You are my helper. You have promised to always be with me and Lord, I believe you! You will handle the opposition and I will present myself a living sacrifice unto you. I will praise your name for you are good and your mercy endures forever. You have been with me all my life and I know you are with me now.
The Goodness of God
By Jenn Johnson
… I love You, Lord
Oh, Your mercy never failed me
And all my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
… All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
… I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
Oh, I have lived in the goodness of God
… And all my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

"And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?"
(Exodus 10:7)

Pharaoh was willing for the men to go out of Egypt, but demanded the children to remain.

Satan desires to have our children. Be assured of that. You can do anything you want, but let me have your children.

How many times each week do we see where another child has disappeared? Has America compromised with the devil?

People are fighting mad because they lost the right to kill their own babies. Has America compromised with the devil?
