Greetings! Come join us for Evening Worship at 6 PM tonight and morning at 9 AM on Sunday.

I am reminded of the old hymn What a Friend Wr Have in Jesus and the line, “O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer”

It can be so helpful to “let go and let God”

This is a verse that has helped me very much in my life from the book of Philippians

“Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 As for the things that you have learned and received and heard and noticed in me, do them, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Praying isn’t just passive it is active. And it isn’t just individual, we can also do it together as a community.

This Week is Holy Week. Please join us for worship. We will have a Good Friday Service at 3 PM. There will be a Sunrise Easter Service at 6:30 at Silver Lake Beach in Wilmington. There will be an Easter service at 9 AM.

Ash Wednesday is February 18 and begins our Lenten journey of prayer and self-reflection. Is our life aligning with our vision? Is our world aligned with God's vision for God's children?

Join us between 4pm and 5pm for Imposition of Ashes and Prayer - come by whenever you wish during this hour.
