You can thank God for another morning and still tell Him that something hurts. An aching heart does not cancel a grateful one. Tears do not erase our recognition of His goodness, and honest prayer does not become complaining simply because it contains sorrow.

There is room before Jesus for the whole truth. We may cherish our lives while needing rest, help, healing, or change. He does not ask us to hide a wound beneath cheerful words. His love welcomes us as we are and helps us face what needs attention.

Perhaps today’s prayer can be simple: Thank You for sustaining me. Please help me with this difficult thing. Both sentences belong in a faithful heart.
