We explored the magnitude of Allah a couple of weeks ago and came out feeling that our trust in Allah is owed. This Friday’s Jumuʿah khutbah, “Which Camel Are You Tying?”, explores tawakkul, trust in Allah, through Qur’anic imagery and prophetic symbolism. What happens when the systems we trust are still standing, but no longer able to carry us where we need to go? A timely reflection on faith, justice, culture, and restoring the fitrah.
