40 years!!!

♥️👏🏼On Saturday, Katey Sagal celebrated a major milestone, marking 40 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and alcohol. The 72-year-old star commemorated her journey with a gathering surrounded by close friends and family. Sagal’s journey toward recovery began in 1986. She has been highly transparent about her past, sharing that her struggles with substance abuse began when she was put on diet pills at just 15 years old. This sparked a 15-year addiction to drugs and alcohol, which she used to numb difficult life milestones, including the deaths of her parents and a battle with cancer in her 20s. She emphasizes that "the opposite of addiction is community" and credits her long-term recovery to honesty, connection, and taking things one day at a time. You go, girl! ♥️👏🏼

🏠 A NEW HOME. A NEW CHAPTER. A GREATER REACH.

We are excited to announce that 517 Ministries has officially signed the lease on our THIRD home! 🙌

This new home will serve as a transitional home for men in the later stages of our program, giving them the opportunity to continue building their lives, strengthening their faith, and preparing for a successful future.

We are honored to name this home Holtzclaw House, in memory and honor of Anthony Holtzclaw .

With the addition of Holtzclaw House, 517 Ministries now has three homes:

🏠 Valor House
🏠 Burnett House
🏠 Holtzclaw House

This expansion brings our total capacity to over 30 men!

But this isn’t just about beds and buildings. It’s about people. It’s about restoration. It’s about giving men another opportunity to find freedom from substance use disorder and discover the life God created them to live.

Because of this new home, we now have immediate availability for men who are ready for a change.
