The New Testament Christians in the early days of the church had a strong conviction that compelled them to act. Their belief was not an abstract ideal, but was rooted in the truths of a risen Lord and in His promises of eternal Hell and Heaven

They did not want anyone to walk into death ignorant of the great judgment awaiting them. These concepts were not academic or abstract ideals; they were so real they had to let people know about these truths…. even if it meant death.

We name the group "Tampa Bay Bible study" and have the website seo focused on those words. Tampa Bay Florida is where we live. When people type "Bible study in Tampa Bay" or "Bible study near me" we come up. We also made the website name focused on these search terms.

Church planting in the TAMPA BAY (what is church planting?)

Churches are closing their doors across the US. We lose 58 congregations each year.

There are places where you might find 3 churches in the whole state .. yet this issue is met with silence in circles where such concerns should be voiced.

I talked with a Christian who worshipped with me in a assembly of 400. This man was from out of state. He remarked that there's more Christians in this building, here then in these 4 states in America, and proceeded to name them. This godly man has visited 100 churches in the US and in our talks has said that most congregations he's been at are small.

As we talked this man said that Christians here are experiencing a rare thing in America....to be surrounded by so many brethren in worship and in fellowship. The church we worshipped at is blessed because of the work, that it does for the Father. But in many areas in the US, there are few Christians and some places no churches. This needs to change.

How many places do you know of where a new church is being planted? I'm not talking about when a church divides through strife....

When i say "church planting, "Im speaking about Bible based, planting, like we read about in the book of Acts. Paul did evangelism and that was how churches were planted in the New Testament.

Our mission field and missionary call is not just in foreign lands oversea, its also in our back yard.
Many evangelism efforts focus on planting/ supporting planted congregations in other countries....

But in a US county where congregations are dying each year, with few church planting taking place, perhaps we should also seek kingdom work closer to home in this matter.

The One Thing You Cannot Do In Heaven?

Wanted to share some quotes from a book I read: "I can guarantee that there is one thing you cannot do in Heaven that you can do on earth. You can worship God in Heaven. You can praise God in Heaven. You can sing songs to God in Heaven. You can learn God’s Word in Heaven. But one thing you cannot do in Heaven is share your faith with a non-believer. Why? Because everyone in Heaven is a believer. Do you realize that when you take your last breath, you will never again be able to talk with a lost person? Since that is true, shouldn’t it be a priority of your life to reach out to all the lost people on earth while you can?

Auburn University gave me a four-year basketball scholarship for one very simple reason. I don’t say this to be cocky, but I can shoot a basketball pretty well. I can take that orange ball and put it in the goal. Some people say I was born with the talent. I don’t believe that, although I definitely have athletic talent wired into me. The real reason I can shoot a basketball pretty well is hours upon hours upon hours of practice. All I did as a kid was shoot basketball, and if you do something often enough you get pretty good at it. So, if we can’t witness in Heaven and can witness only on earth, what is the only way we will ever become good at it? Practice. Practice. Practice. I firmly believe that witnessing is a learned talent. God burdens our hearts to reach the lost, but we must get out there and start practicing those conversations. The funny thing is, though, the more you practice, the easier it becomes."​
