Mustard Seed Faith Fellowship
There is such significance in meaning behind this name for us and our journey thus far. This is where we come from and everyone we have with us here that the Lord has been bringing together. Not qualified by the world’s qualifications, but stepping in faith and surrendering ourselves to the Lord. I’ve learned the degree of our surrender is the degree that God will move in our lives. Surrendering is a seed that grows.
We have learned to take steps out of faith even when we don’t see anything under our feet, we step, and when it’s time the Lord puts something under our feet. We continue to walk in this way. Taking that step, is the mustard seed of faith that’s growing.
When He leads us to something, walking towards it in faith, He will provide the means and open every door that is required to make this happen. Walking towards this without us having to figure it out is that faith of a mustard seed growing. We have an event coming up and while we are walking towards it knowing the Lord will have His way, He will provide everything needed to do this. There are times where it feels like we are walking off a cliff into the unknown by the world's ways. I had a vision where I was walking off of a cliff and I couldn’t see what was next, I expected to fall but His hand picked me up before I fell and carried me to where I needed to be. He said don't expect to fall! Expect Him to be there. That seed is growing.
David had the faith to face a literal giant with a rock because He knew His God was going to show up and back up his actions of faith. I often think of this, how many of us would do this. The only time I have heard the Lord say my name was when I was in a place of desperation, on the ground praying, not feeling in my flesh like I could continue. He said “Marlena, it only takes the faith of a mustard seed to fight this.” After this a friend bought me a necklace with a mustard seed under a mountain. For me, this was the beginning of really understanding what the Lord was telling me.
It’s our prayer that this seed will grow to impact generations. As we walk towards what the Lord has called us to do that people will be made whole, saved, set free and generations of disciples of Christ will come forth.
**We gather every Friday night at 6:30pm in Sun City/Peoria for worship, fellowship, prayer for those who need it and whatever else the Lord wants to do! Everyone is welcome!
Matthew 17:20, Jesus said, “If you have faith as a small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Luke 17:6, Jesus tells His disciples, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you."
