Who we are..............
Here at High Point Community Church, we care about one thing more than anything else, our relationship with Jesus Christ. HPCC is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus and believe that because of His grace and mercy we are called the righteousness of God. And that we are to strive to be the best example of who Christ has called us to be. We believe and unde
rstand that our failures don’t have to be our final destinations. We want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom. Simply, we are a family of believers that love God and want to share that love with others! Here at HPCC, we believe that every person is called to God’s “Ministry of Reconciliation.” (2 Cor. 5:18) We believe that it is the duty of the 5-fold ministry gifts (Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists) to equip the saints for this work of ministry. We all have a purpose in God’s great plan, and we desire to help teach, train, and mentor each person in their unique gifting and calling. HPCC is a “Family Farm” for the growth, training and releasing of the very best you that you can be. We do not believe that we are saved just for Heaven, but to bring Heaven to earth. (John 10:10)
That is why we have so many opportunities to grow in Christ and to minister the gift within to others. Our services have contemporary worship and dynamic preaching. There are Bible studies where you can ask questions and discuss the Word of God. Our children and youth ministries are focused on raising up young people that do not just know “about” God, but know and follow His voice personally. There are so many oportunities to grow and be a blessing at High Point Community. Where we come from.............
Whosoever Will Full Gospel Church was founded in 1999 by Pastor Dan Dyer. Dan was given the call and vision of revival from the Lord and sent by his Pastor, Marion Cazell, to the small town of Dugger, Indiana. As the church continued to grow, and healings and miracles continued. The growth and burden to expand to additional locations, led to plant a new campus in Merom, Indiana. “High Point Community Church” was founded in 2012. Trevis & Jennifer Pinkston were set in as pastors after serving in ministry for many years at WWFG. Both campuses became covered under APEX Christian Alliance ministries. We became “ONE CHURCH” in two locations. HPCC became established there and became a great asset to the Merom Community. We purchased an abandoned church and during that time the church grew and was able to complete a full remodel of the building…..DEBT FREE! Growth and transformations of lives continued and the need for even more space was evident. Although we had purchased 5 acres on the north side of Merom for future growth, a new building project didn’t feel right in our hearts at the time. By this time we had added Administrative / Associate pastors, Keith & Amy Vernelson to our team and were building teams and raising up additional leadership. Just before celebrating our 8th year anniversary in Merom, we were approached by another APEX ministries campus that the pastor was resigning, about the possibility of merging the two campuses together. A simple mention to our congregation of the merger, raise a standing ovation of celebration. Although leaving Merom was not the original plan, God had orchestrated something so much larger than we imagined. 100% of our congregants agreed to the 11 mile move from Merom to our new home in Sullivan (formerly Word of Life Church). HPCC has now emerged into it’s own independent campus where we are now sister churches with WWFG operating as “One Culture”, separate churches. We had our first service at our new Sullivan campus in June of 2020. It is our desire to train ministers and develop leaders. Where we're headed............
What's the bottom line? More than ever, HPCC is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion, community and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ. What this means for you..............
You're always welcome at HPCC. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the HPCC family.
