Join us tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM for a special presentation from New Horizons Ministries. We’re looking forward to hearing about the work they are doing and the ways lives are being touched through their ministry.

The evening is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. After the presentation, we’ll spend some time in fellowship together, so feel free to bring a snack to share if you’d like.

We would love to see you there tomorrow at 6:30 PM for an encouraging evening together!

Day #14 of the Youth Israel trip. Day 14 was our last day. We climbed the Mount of Olives to get a bird's eye view of the city. Two prominent features in our view are the massive golden dome structure and the black domed Al-Aqsa mosque, which squat on the very same bedrock where the temple once stood. The platform on which these buildings sit is a massive construct, built originally by Herod the Great as a way to appease the Jewish people of the first century so they would accept him as their king.
We learned that Hamas' invasion on Oct 7, 2023, was called the Al-Aqsa flood by the invaders. Thus, we can see that the war being waged against Israel since then is for the mountain where God's glory once filled the temple.
We've had an incredible privilege to be able to travel and work in the land of the bible over the last few weeks. Thank you for following along.
Also, a big thank you to all those who helped make this trip possible. We welcome you to reach out to us if you would like to hear more about the things we saw and learned.

Tuesday, Aug 12. Today is day #13 of the youth Israel trip, and we’re approaching the bittersweet end of our tour. However, today was a super impactful day for us, starting in the ancient city of David and ending with Yad Vashem. David’s city is an amazing experience and has so much to give. We saw many sights that are literally mentioned in the Bible like Hezekiah's tunnel, which we walked through. It is a (must see) sight for bible believers in Jerusalem. The second half of our day was spent at the holocaust museum on Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem (Yad Vashem). It was a very emotional experience, seeing and hearing the stories of the holocaust and the horrific events that happened throughout that time. Enjoy the photos, and thanks for following along:)

Day #13 of the Youth Israel trip. Started the day out by leaving the heat of the Dead Sea region and headed to the ancient town of Beersheva. This is the town where Isaac wells and the Philistines came and quarreled with them saying "the water is ours."

Genesis 26:32-33 ESV
32 That same day Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well that they had dug and said to him, “We have found water.” 33 He called it Shibah; therefore, the name of the city is Beersheba to this day.

The next we visited the sad memorial sight of the October 7, 2023 massacre. The Nova Music festival located in Re'im near the Gaza strip became a mass killing by Hamas Terrorist. Over 350 people were murdered in a matter of minutes. Nobody saw the attack coming as over 3500 Jihad killers stormed out of the cities of Gaza and killed over 1200 people, and took 251 people hostage in the nearby towns and settlements. They used grenades and rpg's to burn vehicles. All the burnt vehicles were stacked on big piles, and we were able to see those as well. The Memorial site contains pictures and stories of the victims and their final moments of life. This was such a horrific tragedy!

Day #12 of the youth Israel Trip. This morning, we left HaYovel and made our way south to the Dead Sea region. Our first stop was up to Masada. Due to the high heat of +105°F, we weren't able to hike up to the top. At the top, Stan taught us about the history of Masada and its famous architect Herod the Great.

Next, we checked into our hotel at Ein Bokek and had some time to float in the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea was probably one of our biggest highlights! It was fairly warm but very relaxing! After the floating, we spent some time in the swimming pool at the hotel.

Day #11 of the youth Israel trip! Today was Shabbat! We had a fantastic day of rest, which was wonderful after a week of intense work!

Leviticus 23:3 “Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.

Today was our last day with HaYovel, and we will be continuing our journey of touring the Holy Land for several more days! We would like to thank for their hospitality and for allowing us to work with them in the Land of Israel!

Shabbat Shalom! This is day #10 of the youth Israel trip. Today, we were back at Gitit building fence and planting trees. The sunshine was plenty hot, but it was a great last day of volunteering in the heartland! Due to it being Friday, we only worked till noon and had lunch at a nursery for trees and other plants.

We had a great Shabbat dinner with the wonderful folks of HaYovel! It was amazing to experience it and see how they do it! Shabbat Shalom and may you have a great evening.

Day #9 of the youth Israel trip. Today, we were back on the farm in Gitit, planting trees and building fences! In temperatures of around 100° that was not an easy task!

After a long day, we headed off to a natural spring in Wadi Khallat el Ein, only to get stuck with a 52,000 lb tour bus! So we all piled into a truck and van to finish the bumpy drive where all our work was worth it to jump into a cold spring!

Isaiah 42:19 -" I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane, and the pine together"

Day #8 of the youth Israel Trip. Today, we planted another vineyard in Shiloh. We, along with the families of HaYovel, planted around 7,000 vines on about 10 acres. Surpassing our expectations, we were done by noon!

Amos 9:14 “And I shall turn back the captivity of My people Yisra’ĕl. And they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them, and shall make gardens and eat their fruit.

After lunch, we stopped by an overlook above the town of Shechem modern-day Arab city of Nablus. Shechem is also known for the location of Joseph's tomb.

Joshua 24:32 As for the bones of Joseph, which the people of Israel brought up from Egypt, they buried them at Shechem, in the piece of land that Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of money. It became an inheritance of the descendants of Joseph.

Day #7 of the youth Israel Trip. Started the day off early by planting a vineyard in the Shiloh Valley! We planted about 3 acres of new vines! The owner of the vineyard brought some of the best break snacks and taught us about his very interesting life!

Jeremiah 31:5 ESV
Again, you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant and shall enjoy the fruit.

After a short day of planting, we piled into the bus and headed for the ancient site of Tel Shiloh. Shiloh is where Joshua set up the tabernacle after entering the land of Canaan.
Our tour guide showed us the ruins and archaeological digs that have been uncovered over the past years. Here at Shiloh, we saw the kosher red heifers and learned about their significance. See Numbers 19 for more information!

It's great to see our young people from our congregation working in the background of this video filmed by HaYovel / The Israel Guys . Truly, prophecy is being fulfilled as the Gentiles come to Israel to help restore the land of the Bible!
