LOUD WORSHIP, SILENT OBEDIENCE.
Modern Christianity celebrates passion.
Jesus looks for submission.
Many people will cry.
Many people will raise their hands.
Many people will sing every word.
But when Scripture confronts a lifestyle...
the music suddenly gets quieter.
Jesus never said,
"If you love Me,
sing louder."
He said:
"If ye love me,
keep my commandments."
โ John 14:15
That's uncomfortable.
Because obedience requires something
worship services don't.
Dying to self.
Anyone can feel emotional for an hour.
Not everyone will surrender
when God's Word challenges their habits,
relationships,
entertainment,
speech,
or priorities.
The Pharisees knew how to appear spiritual.
Israel knew how to sing.
But God repeatedly exposed a deeper problem:
Their lips were close.
Their hearts were not.
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth,
and honoureth me with their lips;
but their heart is far from me."
โ Matthew 15:8
The question isn't:
How loud is your worship?
The question is:
How much authority does God actually have
over your life?
Because worship that never produces obedience
becomes performance.
And love that never produces submission
becomes a claim.
The greatest act of worship
isn't raising your hands.
It's surrendering your will.
When Scripture speaks,
do you obey
or only sing?
The volume of your worship
is easy to measure.
The depth of your obedience
is harder to hide.
