GOOD AND EVIL IN THE FATHER'S EYES
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

The phrase "in God's eyes" or "in the eyes of God" is used approximately 65 times in the Hebrew Scriptures to refer to how God sees the actions of certain people. Of that, about 28 of those times are positive, referring to people who did was was right or found favor in His eyes, and 37 are negative, referring to people who did what was evil in His eyes. All of the positives are toward the actions of an individual, while many of the negatives are toward the entire nation of Israel or one of Israel's kings as a representative of the nation and what the nation was doing as a whole.

When you look at the references to those who did what was right in His eyes or those who found favor in His eyes it is primarily those who obeyed what is instructed in The Torah. There are minor exceptions, like in 1 Kings 3 where it was pleasing in God's eyes that Solomon asked for wisdom. But when you look at most of the references to what was good or favorable in God's eyes you find references to people like Noah, Moses, Josiah, and Hezekeiah who are listed as doing what is right or favorable in God's eyes because of their Torah obedience as individuals, even when nobody else was.

In contrast, when you look at those who are forever listed in Scripture as doing evil in God's eyes, it is always those who rejected His Laws. The most common act that resulted in being labeled "evil in God's eyes" was idolatry. Again, there were exceptions like the incident with David and Bathsheba that is labeled evil in His eyes. But the overwhelming majority of times people are labeled as doing evil in God's eyes it is regarding the worship of other gods and the embracing of other religions along with their rites, rituals, practices, and traditions—what Deuteronomy 12:29-31 specifically says NOT to do. We even read about a long period of time, spanning hundreds of years, where Israel worshiped gods like Ba'al, Molech, Asherah, Chemosh, and Milcom, and the king of every generation that did this is forever labeled as doing evil in God's eyes—that is their entire legacy as recorded in Scripture, think about that.

Deuteronomy 13:19 says that keeping the mitvot (those things instructed in The Torah) is doing what is right in God's eyes and Deuteronomy 17:2 says that transgressing the covenant (breaking, violating The Torah) is what is evil in God's eyes.

Another interesting passage is Leviticus 11:44, summarizing the listing of what is acceptable to eat as food and what is an abomination to eat. One translation of this passage says: "Don’t become disgusting by eating any of these unclean creatures." When people eat unclean animals like pork, shellfish, various rodents, and so on they become disgusting in God's eyes. They have done evil in His eyes by transgressing The Torah, but even beyond that He sees them as disgusting for eating filth.

Christians today make up about one-third of the earth's population, approximately 2.4 billion people the last time I checked. But Christians have their Asherah poles, they just call them Christmas trees. They have their Molech to set their children on his lap, they just call him Santa Claus. They have their feasts to other gods, they call them things like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. I'm not saying they are "literally" the same thing, but spiritually they are. These popular holidays do not originate from The Bible, they are rebranded from the practices of other religions. They are THE SAME THING that the ancient Israelites did, that God said was evil in His eyes.

Christians do not keep the biblical Sabbath Day. They eat all manner of things God called unclean, disgusting, and an abomination. Many will even tattoo their bodies or do other things that are prohibited by the Laws of God. These people are considered evil in God's eyes. They might seem like "good people". Many are even pastors, preachers, or lay leaders in Christian churches. Many sing songs about spiritual things "leading worship" in their churches. But they are evil in God's eyes. No matter how "good" they may seem by worldly or even religious standards, they are evil in God's eyes.

Think about that. Think about how many Christians there are in the world who live in total defiance to God's Laws. The Bible is very clear on what is good and right in God's eyes and what is evil in God's eyes. The theme is all through Scripture, from cover to cover. Even in The Book of Revelation it tells us that the perseverance of the holy ones is in BOTH following Yeshua AND obeying The Torah (Rev. 14:12). The verse literally defines holiness as such and in Hebrews 12:14 it says that without holiness you won't even see God.

Come out from among modern Christian religion and be separate... be holy... follow Yeshua AND The Torah. Be labeled as one who did what was right, what was pleasing, what was good, what was favorable in God's eyes. Because if you don't—if you continue to follow the teachings of Christianity and pastors and churches and church people—you may find yourself one day standing before the throne of God being listed among the masses who He sees as those who did evil in His eyes.
