He endured a grueling forty-five days on a ventilator and spent three and a half months in the hospital. As his body fought valiantly to survive, his wife, Dr. Kathy Boyls, faced numerous challenges, including navigating bureaucratic hurdles, adhering to medical protocols, and spiritual warfare over the life of her husband.
