In preschool, this week’s Bible story came from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. One day people brought children to Jesus, hoping Jesus would bless them. When the disciples tried to keep the children away, Jesus rebuked them. Jesus told everyone there that the kingdom of God belongs to children. Preschoolers can know that Jesus welcomed the children in the Bible story, and He welcomes them, too, because He made them with worth. Ask your preschoolers to share with you a toy or possession that they value and that is important to them. Share that your preschoolers that God values them very much because He made them with worth and value!

In our elementary age groups this week, boys and girls learned how Jesus showed that God made us with worth, as seen in this week’s Bible story from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. People were bringing their children to Jesus, hoping He would bless them. But when the disciples rebuked them, Jesus grew upset. He invited the children to come to Him, saying that the kingdom of God belongs to them. Kids can know that God made them with worth right here and now. Find times this week to tell your kids, “You are so loved and valued!” Do this at random times (not when your kids do something special) so kids know their value is not in what they do but who they are.

Our Game Changer Bible story from Psalm 139 taught kids that God leads us to true identity. A king named David wrote that God knows everything about us because He made us. This week we celebrated Hooray Day, a special day where we celebrate God! This Hooray Day was a big celebration because we learned that David understood that God knew everything about him. God even knew the words David would speak. God knows everything about us too! God leads us to know Him because He loves us. Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:
1. Thank God that He wants us to love like Jesus.
2. Ask God to help you love others like Jesus.
3. Pray for those for whom it may be hard to show Jesus’ love. Pray that you can share His love with them.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that they can love others like Jesus would.
