Claire Weichselbaum has held many roles around First Unitarian - RE Teacher, Zoom Technician, Young Adult coordinator, Member of the Ministerial Search Committee, Acting RE Coordinator, Voice of Loving Bobcat... and the list goes on! Claire graduated with her PhD (Yay Dr. Claire!) and has been awarded a fellowship with the Civic Science Fellows program. So she and Loving Bobcat are headed to Arizona! We're going to celebrate Claire at her time with us at the outdoor service on Sunday, November 7th. In the meantime, please take a moment to sign this electronic card for her:

We want to share some news about a cool new program: YARN, The UU Young Adult Revival Network. They are a growing network of UU young adults, run out of the First UU Society of San Francisco. Participation now includes UU young adults from all over the country and beyond.

YARN is using Soul Matters monthly themes and resources to support their online worship and small group efforts. Check out their website: https://www.uuyarn.org and get info about
their worship series and vesper service. You can also find them on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube .) And if any of you want a direct contact, you can reach out to Roddy Biggs at [email protected] or [email protected]​.

YARN is the successor project to the Young Adult Ministry Initiative, which was a year long effort to initiate a conversation about UU young adult ministry. Once the pandemic hit last spring, we shifted gears to organizing and delivering ministry to UU young adults everywhere.
