Pain left behind is only a drip of paint falling off the brush of the Artist pouring His all into making a masterpiece. It's through His blood, sweat, and tears that Christ painted the cross so we can enjoy the beauty of His sacrifice and be more drawn to understand the message left behind. GOD IS THE FRAME, WE ARE THE ARTWORK, AND JESUS IS THE ARTIST.

What does it mean to break a yoke? A yoke is a wooden structure used to hold oxen or other large animals together while working. It is usually wrapped around both animals' necks. Moving around with a yoke tied from our necks to another's can be either easy or troublesome. The point of the yoke is to teach the animals to walk and work together. This is why the Bible warns about being unequally yoked. If we aren’t moving in unison with our partner or friend then all we are doing is hurting ourselves and them. Sometimes we can be yoked to something evil which is controlling the reigns and straining our necks. This is where breaking a yoke comes into play and it becomes imperative to understand Gods word and to apply it.

Matthew 11:28-30

Isaiah 10:27

Genesis 27:40

Deuteronomy 28:47-48

5 tools to breaking an unequal yoke are: Standing firm in our faith, living by God’s Word, serving the Lord with a grateful heart, anointing of the HOLY SPIRIT, and steadfast prayer. In order to distinguish if your yoke is of God or of bo***ge from Satan, we need to ask two important questions. Is your load so heavy on you that it brings anxiety, depression, or stress and does it seem like it’s taking the life out of you? According to our first verse, Gods yoke will never weigh us down but instead it will seem as light as a feather. When we take Gods yoke upon us, He begins leading us away from the destructiveness of sin and towards the joy and deepened peace only He can give.

What is discernment? Discernment is the recognition of the moral implications of different situations or courses of action. True Discernment enables the Free Christian (those who use educated conscience to a biblical pattern of life) to recognize that the exercise of freedom is not essential to the enjoyment of it. In order to understand how to discern we need guidance from the Holy Spirit in accordance with Gods Word. Discernment in Psalm 119:66, written by King David, means “taste”. So, when it comes time to use or apply discernment it’s important to look at the situation and our upcoming actions through Gods eyes, as well as through Gods perspectives. Is the decision we are going to make in good taste or bad?

Proverbs 14:6

Proverbs 5:1-2

Matthew 7:7

Romans 12:2

Job 34:4

It was once said that sometimes God closes doors, because it is time to move forward and He knows you will not move unless circumstances force you too. We know the verse that says, “Faith without works is dead” which is in James 2:17. Well faith without works is dead because the lack of works reveals an unchanged mindset and lifestyle. We need to stop using our time regretting or focusing on the door that God has closed and instead move on. While moving we need to use discernment wisely given through Gods Word to find the door which holds our blessings behind it. Now remember that just because other doors are closed, doesn’t mean they are all locked. It may just be locked to others. We need to apply works to our faith to check the doors. According to Matthew 7:7 sometimes all we need to do is just knock and it shall we opened upon us.
