Congratulations to Sister Jennifer Turner who was appointed as President of the EMWI Missions Department by General Board Member Bishop Lawrence M. Wooten. Her Pastor Auxiliary Bishop Marvin Sanders stands proudly behind her in this photo. Let's Do the Work.

Deacon Manning was faithful to the work of missions until the end. We are praying for the family.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-26)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our own Deacon Louis Manning. As a faithful member of Shiloh Temple COGIC, he served in many capacities. He served as a deacon, choir member, member of the men’s chorus, member of the men’s department, former superintendent and advisor to the Sunday School Department, Coordinator of the Transportation Ministry, SWAT Team Coordinator and Local Missions President. He organized many community barbecues, outreach efforts and outreach trainings. On the District level, he served as the President of the District 8 EMWI Missions Department and was an avid supporter of the EMWI Jurisdiction Missions team and the Mid-America Region of COGIC World Missions team. His heart and passion was active soul winning. Even when his health began to take a turn, he continued his outreach efforts by ministering in hospitals and nursing facilities and participating in mission efforts. He organized bible studies and small chapel services for the elderly, the disabled and veterans. He was truly a soldier in God’s Army!

We ask that you please keep his wife, Missionary Devore, his children and his entire family in prayer, as well as, the Shiloh Temple Church family, District 8 Missions team, EMWI Missions team and the Mid-America Region of COGIC World Missions Team.
