🕊️ The Courage to be a Living Temple 🕊️
Monday of the Third Week of Easter | April 20, 2026
Praise be Jesus Christ, brothers and sisters! Today’s readings challenge us to look at the “architecture” of our souls. In Luke 19, Jesus cleanses the Temple (approx. 30 AD), driving out the noise to restore prayer. In Acts 6, St. Stephen becomes a “living temple” (approx. 35 AD), his face shining like an angel even as he faced his accusers. Today the Temple isn't just a building anymore, it's you.

The Reality Check: We often let our inner “temple” get cluttered. We trade peace for anxiety and silence for scrolling. Like the merchants Jesus drove out, these distractions take up space meant for God.

A Word from the Ancients: "Christian, recognize your dignity... do not return to your former base condition." — Pope St. Leo the Great (5th Century)

Today's Challenge: Pick one “clutter” in your life today (anxiety, an app, a grudge). Drive it out. Replace it with 5 minutes of pure silence. Let your face reflect Christ’s peace to everyone you meet!

Prayer: Lord, cleanse my heart of all that distracts me from You. Grant me the courage of St. Stephen to stand in Your truth today. Amen.
