More than 760 years ago, a priest named Peter of Prague was struggling with doubts about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. While celebrating Mass in Bolsena, Italy, after the consecration, the Sacred Host began to bleed, staining the corporal on the altar. The miracle was investigated by Pope Urban IV, and the blood-stained corporal was brought to Orvieto, where it is still venerated today.

While our faith in the Eucharist rests firmly on the words of Jesus Christ and the teaching of His Church, the Miracle of Bolsena-Orvieto became a powerful sign that strengthened belief in the Real Presence and helped inspire the universal celebration of Corpus Christi. Pope Urban IV later entrusted St. Thomas Aquinas with composing many of the beautiful Eucharistic hymns we still sing today.

As we prepare to celebrate Corpus Christi, we remember that Jesus does not simply give us a symbol. He gives us Himself. Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

At Live Vertical, we are blessed to witness young people encounter that same Eucharistic Jesus in Adoration. Just as Christ drew hearts to Himself in Bolsena more than seven centuries ago, He continues to draw hearts today through the Blessed Sacrament.

Jesus is present. Jesus is waiting. Jesus is worthy of our worship.

Come, let us adore Him.

This week we celebrate the feast of Saint Philip Neri, a saint known for his contagious joy, deep love for young people, and profound devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist.

Often called the "Apostle of Rome," Saint Philip understood that true joy is found in friendship with Christ. He spent countless hours before the Blessed Sacrament, drawing strength, wisdom, and peace from the Real Presence of Jesus. His love for the Eucharist helped inspire and promote the practice of extended Eucharistic adoration, including the Forty Hours Devotion that spread throughout Rome and beyond.

Saint Philip knew that the Eucharist is not simply something we receive. It is Someone we encounter. In the silence of adoration, he discovered the love of Christ and then carried that love into the lives of others, especially the young.

At Live Vertical, we share that same mission. We believe that when young people encounter Jesus in the Eucharist through guided prayer and adoration, everything can change. Hearts are opened. Faith comes alive. Lives are transformed.

Saint Philip Neri, patron of joy and friend of youth, pray for us. Help us lead the next generation to discover the same Eucharistic love that transformed your life.

"Cheerfulness strengthens the heart and helps us persevere in doing good." – Saint Philip Neri

There is something beautiful about the spirituality of Saint Rita of Cascia. In the middle of suffering, loss, and impossible situations, she learned to stay close to Jesus, especially in the Blessed Sacrament.

Tradition surrounding Saint Rita speaks of such a deep devotion to the Eucharist that during the final years of her life she was sustained almost entirely by Holy Communion and her love for Jesus present in the Eucharist. Her strength did not come from comfort or success. It came from remaining close to Christ.

That same invitation is at the heart of what Live Vertical hopes to bring to young people today.
In a world filled with noise, anxiety, distraction, and loneliness, we continue to watch something wonderful happen when teenagers kneel before Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. Hearts soften. Walls come down. Silence becomes prayer. Young people begin to realize they are not alone and that Jesus is truly present.

Saint Rita reminds us that holiness is not reserved for the perfect. It is discovered by those willing to remain close to Jesus even in difficult seasons.

May we continue helping young people encounter the same Eucharistic Jesus who transformed the life of Saint Rita and still changes lives today.

Saint Rita of Cascia, pray for us.

At Fatima, Our Lady pointed the world back to her Son in the Eucharist. Through the message of the Angel of Peace and the call to prayer and reparation, heaven reminded us that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament waiting to be adored, loved, and received.

Eucharistic Adoration invites us to do exactly that: to spend time with Jesus, to make reparation for sin, and to allow young hearts to encounter the peace and love found only in Him.

At Live Vertical, we believe every moment before the Eucharist is an opportunity for a young person to meet Jesus personally and be transformed by His presence.

Long before Catholic education became widespread, Saint Rose Venerini recognized the importance of forming young hearts in truth, beauty, and faith. Her deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist inspired her to open schools where students could encounter both knowledge and holiness.

Today, her witness continues to inspire the mission of Live Vertical as we enter Catholic schools and lead young people into encounters with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. Like Saint Rose, we believe the Eucharist has the power to shape hearts, strengthen faith, and transform lives.

Saint Rose Venerini, pray for our students, teachers, and all those helping lead young people closer to Jesus in the Eucharist.

He lived where no one else would go.
He loved people no one else would touch.
But where did Saint Damien of Molokai find the strength to stay?

The Eucharist.

He began his days in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament… before stepping into a mission that many would have found unbearable.
He once said:
“Without the Blessed Sacrament, a position like mine would be intolerable.”
That’s not poetic.
That’s real.

The Eucharist didn’t just comfort him.
It sustained him.
It transformed him.
So much so that he stopped saying “you lepers”
and began saying:
“We lepers.”

This is what happens in adoration.
We don’t just look at Jesus.
We begin to love like Him.

The same Jesus who strengthened Saint Damien
is waiting for us in the monstrance.
Stay with Him.
Let Him change you

There is something so striking about the life of Catherine of Siena.
She didn’t just believe in Jesus. She lived as if He was truly there…because she knew He was.
The Eucharist was not a symbol to her.
It was everything. It was nourishment, relationship, fire, and union.
She would spend long hours in prayer, completely captivated by the presence of Christ. After receiving Holy Communion, witnesses describe her entering into deep moments of silence and awe, as if nothing else in the world mattered.
Because in that moment, nothing else did. She had encountered Jesus. Truly present. Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
That same Jesus is waiting for us.
What Catherine discovered is what the Church still proclaims with joy today: the Eucharist is not just something we receive. It is Someone who loves us. Someone who invites us to come close, to be still, and to be transformed. In a world that pulls us in every direction, the Blessed Sacrament becomes the place where everything comes back into focus.

At Live Vertical, this is the heart of everything we do. We create space for that encounter. Not just learning about Jesus, but meeting Him. Not just hearing about His love, but resting in it.

Tonight, or sometime this week, step into a chapel.
Sit before the monstrance.
Bring everything on your heart.
And like Catherine, allow yourself to be drawn into the fire of His love.
He is there. And He is waiting.

While celebrating the Mass...On Easter Sunday…
St. Mark was arrested.

He would be dragged through the streets of Alexandria until he died.
Not after Mass.
Not apart from it.
But in the very act of offering the sacrifice.
What he celebrated… he became.

The same Jesus he held in his hands in the Eucharist
was the same Jesus who gave His life on the Cross.
And in that moment,
St. Mark’s life became a living echo of the Mass.

The Eucharist is not just something we attend.
It is Someone we receive… and a life we are invited to become.

We adore Him everywhere. But where is He inviting you today?
Visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Stay with Him. Let Him transform you.

The feast of St Mark is observed on April 25

"Jesus, I trust in You.”

On this beautiful Divine Mercy Sunday, given to the Church through Saint Faustina Kowalska, we are reminded that the heart of Jesus is not distant… it is open, radiant, and pouring out mercy for each one of us.

From His wounded side flows blood and water… a living stream of grace that continues today in the sacraments, and most beautifully in the Holy Eucharist.

Every time we step into Eucharistic Adoration, we are not just sitting in silence…
we are sitting before Divine Mercy Himself.
The same Jesus who spoke to Saint Faustina…
The same Jesus who poured out mercy from the Cross…
The same Jesus who says to each of us:
“Do not be afraid. Come to Me.”

At Live Vertical, this is what we get to witness every day.
Young people encountering not an idea… but a Person.
Not a concept… but Mercy made present in the Blessed Sacrament.
And it is awesome. It is real. It is life-changing.
Today, we invite you: Come sit with Him.

Bring your burdens, your questions, your hopes.
Let His mercy meet you right where you are.
Because His mercy is not just something we remember today…
It is Someone we can encounter.

Jesus, I trust in You.

And when you visit Him in the Eucharist today, please pray for us…
as we continue to walk with young people toward Jesus,
present and alive in the Blessed Sacrament.

On Easter Monday in today's Gospel according to Matthew
28:8-15 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary run from the tomb with hearts racing, not fully understanding, yet filled with something new. Hope. Wonder. Resurrection.
And then it happens.

Jesus meets them on the way.

Not when they have everything figured out.
Not when their fear is gone.
But right in the middle of it all.
They fall at His feet. They cling to Him. They worship.
And He speaks the words every heart needs to hear:

“Do not be afraid.”

How often are we running through life carrying both fear and hope at the same time?
The beautiful truth of Easter is this:
Jesus still meets us on the way.

And in a very real and powerful way, He waits for us… in the Eucharist.
In Eucharistic Adoration, we don’t just remember the Resurrection.
We encounter the Risen Jesus.
Alive. Present. Waiting.

Just like those women at the tomb, we are invited to draw near, to kneel, to hold nothing back, and to worship.
This week, take a moment to go and be with Him.
Step into a chapel. Sit in the quiet. Let Him meet you there.

Because the same Jesus who said, “Do not be afraid,”
is still speaking… right from the Eucharist.
