1 Peter 5:6-11
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Dear Children, The Devil is working overtime to draw away Gods Children, to deceive, to get us caught up in the cares of life, the sorrow of this world that works death (spiritual death) within us.
His goal is to afflict us to the point of getting us back in the world that Jesus delivered us from. This carnal, corrupt, evil world, with its evil/ carnal desires of the flesh. To persuade us that it’s really not that bad. But it’s all a big lie. The answer is to resist him, steadfast in the faith.
While we are resisting steadfast in the faith, we are suffering. But Peter says “ for a while” then Jesus shows up and makes us perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Then we glory Him. “To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
This is all an experience right here as we serve God now. Satan can not take away our home in heaven.
We have been bought by the Lord Jesus Christ.
But Satan can deceive us and afflict us to try and get back in the world and not follow Jesus any more here in this life.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
