Mother’s Day can bring joy for some and deep heartache for others. For many, this day carries grief, loss, loneliness, difficult memories, strained relationships, or unfulfilled hopes.

At Saint James United Methodist Church, we want you to know that you are seen, loved, and welcome here. Whether you are celebrating, mourning, remembering, struggling, or simply trying to make it through the day, you do not have to do it alone.

This Sunday, we will gather in grace, compassion, and hope as we honor all women who nurture, encourage, teach, love, and invest in the lives of others.

Join us for worship at 10:30 AM as we make space for every story and every heart.

🥳We were having too much fun at St. James yesterday that we forgot to post a HAPPY BIRTHDAY message for Pastor Andrew yesterday. He was celebrated well here by our kindergarten staff and our members who dropped by special treats.

Let’s show Rev. Mitchell how much we appreciate her.

💐The Spartanburg District has been blessed to have the Rev. Cathy D. Mitchell with us for eight years and soon she will be off to a new appointment. Everyone is invited to a drop in celebration in her honor on May 31st from 3 to 5pm.

🧺A basket will be provided for cards and other tokens of appreciation to her for her years of service to the Spartanburg & Greenville District Churches.

🙌Saturday, we are excited for our fifth Great Day of Service! We do have ☔️rain in the forecast, but don't let that dampen your spirit!

We will meet at 7:30am for breakfast and a short worship service. Then we will move to our locations.

Please bring a raincoat if you are going to be at the Bethlehem Center or Hatcher Garden. If you would like to move to an inside location, that decision can be made Saturday morning.
