True worship isn’t just waving palms- it’s surrendering
your heart.

Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! — John 12:13

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds celebrated Him as King—waving palm branches, shouting praise, and expecting deliverance. They were looking for a Savior who would conquer outwardly. But Jesus came to win a deeper victory—one that required surrender, sacrifice, and humility.
He didn’t arrive on a war horse, but on a donkey. Not in pride, but in peace. Not to take a throne by force, but to give His life in love.

Palm Sunday invites us to examine our own hearts. Do we praise God only when He meets our expectations or wants? Or can we trust Him—even when His plan looks different than ours?
True worship is more than celebration—it’s surrender.

Selah.

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the LORD.
-Lamentations 3:26 NKJV

Waiting is rarely easy, especially when answers seem delayed and hope feels thin. Yet this verse reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not wasted time. Quiet trust shapes our hearts, teaching us dependence rather than control. God’s salvation—His help, peace, and direction—comes in His perfect timing, not ours. In the stillness, He strengthens our faith and reminds us that He is at work even when we cannot see it.

Waiting quietly before God is an act of faith. It says, “I trust You even when I don’t understand.” In moments of uncertainty, God invites us to lay down our anxiety and lean into hope. Silence before Him creates space for His peace to settle our hearts. As we wait, we discover that God is not only preparing the answer—He is preparing us. Selah.

What you’re facing is no match for what God has placed within you.

It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places.
He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
Psalm 18:32-34 NKJV

Every victory begins with God. He is the One who strengthens us, directs our steps, and lifts us to places we could never reach on our own. When we feel weak or unsure, God reminds us that He has already gone before us.

God says He makes our feet like the feet of a deer—strong, agile, and sure on dangerous ground. A deer does not panic on steep cliffs; it moves with confidence because its feet were designed for the terrain. In the same way, God equips us for the places He calls us to walk.

The same God who steadies our feet also trains us for the fight. Our challenges are not signs of abandonment, but evidence that God is shaping us for greater purpose and deeper trust. Selah

How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
-Psalm 13:1-2 NKJV

In this scripture passage, David’s words are raw, honest, and deeply human. He isn’t whispering polite prayers—he’s crying out from a place of exhaustion. The repetition of “How long?” reveals a heart weighed down by waiting. David knew God’s promises, yet his circumstances told a different story. The silence felt personal. The delay felt painful. And in that space, he wondered if God had forgotten him.

But here’s the truth: God’s silence is not His absence.

David wasn’t abandoned—he was in process. God had anointed him king, but the crown hadn’t come yet. Between promise and fulfillment was a season of hiding, refining, and learning to trust God without constant reassurance. What felt like God hiding His face was actually God strengthening David’s faith.
Silence tests what we believe about God when we don’t feel Him. It exposes whether our trust is rooted in His character or in our comfort. Like David, we may wrestle with our thoughts, carry sorrow in our hearts, and watch others seem to win while we wait. Yet even in the quiet, God is working—shaping us for what’s ahead.

David ends Psalm 13 not because the situation changed, but because his perspective did. He chooses to trust God’s unfailing love. That same choice is offered to us today.
If you are in a silent season, take heart. God has not turned away. He is near, attentive, and faithful—especially when He feels quiet. Selah.

Don’t confuse
God’s silence with
His absence.

When faith is your standard, mountains move and giants fall

The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
-Psalm 27:1 NKJV

David spoke these words not from comfort, but from experience. He had faced rejection, danger, and opposition, yet he held fast to who God was—not in what he was facing. Calling the Lord his light, David trusted God for direction. Calling Him his salvation, he trusted God for deliverance. Calling Him his strength, he trusted God for endurance.

This devotion invites us to do the same. When life feels uncertain or threatening, we can echo David’s confidence. Our circumstances may change, but God remains constant. Selah.

Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
-Isaiah 43:19 NKJV

As a new year begins, Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is not limited by what’s behind us. He says, “Behold, I will do a new thing.” That means our past mistakes, disappointments, or delays do not define what God can do next.

Sometimes the new year feels like a wilderness—uncertain, quiet, or even dry. Yet God promises to make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He is already at work, even when we don’t see it yet. Our role is to stay attentive, hopeful, and willing to trust Him step by step.

As you step into this year, don’t focus on what you’re leaving behind. Ask God to help you perceive the new thing He is growing. Walk forward with faith, knowing that the same God who carried you before and allowed you to cross over is preparing a new way ahead. Selah.
