God morning FB Family and Friends,
God bless you today. I pray you are doing well on this 2nd Sunday of the month. I am thankful for another day. Beyond any doubt, the Lord has brought me into this day, and I have great confidence that He will see me through. I'm alive, alert, clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. No one can convince me that I am not grateful to the Lord. How are you and your household doing?
Have you ever been so busy to the point that you couldn’t determine if you were coming or leaving? Have you ever allowed situations in your life to pile so high that your vision was impaired? Have you had moments in life when your problems seemed larger than God’s ability to deliver you? Did death ever enter your mind as your only escape from the things that were pressing you? If so, this means you are living in the real world along with the rest of us.
In today's sermon, I will preach about a man of God who was not ashamed of the God he was serving. He was faithful to carry out the assignments God gave to him and had a boldness in ministry. One day, he was threatened by an evil queen who threatened to take his life within the space of one day. This was a game changer for this preacher, who found himself in a valley of depression. Perhaps, you might be asking this question, “If a person is anchored in the Lord, is depression for that person possible?” We will explore this question and hopefully, we will arrive at a good place. My scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of I Kings 19:11-18. The sermon title for today is:
“I’m Getting Out, of My Depression”
After reading this passage and hearing this message, you should understand that depression is real and that it can affect people everywhere. It can hit the rich, poor, sinners, and the saints. DELIVERANCE, however, is possible. I am anticipating a great time of worship of our Great God and fellowship with the children of God.
Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.
I want to encourage you to, enjoy Jesus today; and if you don’t know Him, today is a great day to make that connection with the Lord. In addition to our Livestream, I am on the radio at 5:15 AM CST each Sunday. Here’s the link.
