God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I hope you are doing well on this 4th Sunday of October. What a glorious morning it is today. I am thankful for today. I am grateful to the Lord to be alive, alert, and clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. My limbs have activity, and I am so thankful.
Today, Pioneer is celebrating her 53rd Birthday. The LORD has been our Dwelling Place all these years. He has brought us to where we are and has not failed us. We bless His holy name. We are thankful for our only Charter Member, Sister Mary L. Baylock. She has remained active here at the Pioneer Church.

How would you classify yourself as a member of your congregation? If others were to grade your performance, would they label you as a worker and encourager or someone who, next to never, reaches out to assist others in need? Would they see you ushering people to a place where the Master can touch them? As Christians, we are our brothers' keepers. We must forget about ourselves and remember others who are in need. How willing are you to lift someone, transport them, and ensure that when they are brought to Jesus, not to rest until they get their breakthrough?

By the end of this message, you should be able to determine if you are in the church for the right reason.
This is where I am going today in my message. The scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of Mark 2:1-12. The sermon title for today asks this question.

“What Kind of a Church Member Am I?”

Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland. In addition to our Livestream, I am on the radio at 5:15 AM CST each Sunday morning. Here’s the link.

I want to encourage you to trust and enjoy Jesus today; and if you don’t know Him as your Personal Savior, today is a great day to make that connection with the Lord because it is the first day for the rest of your life.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I hope you are doing well on this 3rd Sunday of October. What a glorious morning it is today. I am thankful for today. I am grateful to the Lord to be alive, alert, and clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. Let me be clear. It was no one but Jesus who did this. Are you yet holding on? I want to believe that you have so much to bless the Lord for.

If you have been saved from your sins and claim to be walking with the Lord, Can you truly say that you know when the Lord is speaking to you? Are you able to distinguish God's voice from the voice of the preacher or a fellow parishioner? Can you say that you are walking in obedience to the voice and wheel of God today, or are you walking and living a life of disobedience because you refuse to be taught how to distinguish the voice of God?

I believe God is still speaking to the church today. I am thoroughly convinced that if we are going to hear the clear voice of God and be in a position to do what the Lord commands us to do, we must position our hearts and ears so that we can be in tune with the Lord. The scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of I Samuel 3:9-10. The sermon title for today asks this question.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I hope you are doing well on this 2nd Sunday of October. I am thankful for another day. I am grateful to the Lord for another day to be alive, alert, and clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. Are you yet holding on? I want to believe that you have so much to be thankful for.

This month at the Pioneer Church, we are celebrating our 53 years of being a congregation. The Lord has been good to us. And while this congregation was in Eternity Past, it didn't come to fruition until October 1971. The Reverend James Butler, who now rests in the arms of the Lord, was Pioneer’s first pastor. The Reverend Burnell Thompson served as interim pastor in the ninth year of our existence. In 1981 (the 10th year), I was elected the new pastor of the Pioneer Missionary Baptist Church. There have been great people who have come through the Pioneer Church. Of the chartered members here at the Pioneer Church's genesis, we have one charter member remaining. Sister Mary L. Baylock is that person.

Out of the many accomplishments we have made and the great members who passed through Pioneer these past 53 years, the greatest has been and remains in the person of Jesus Christ. In today's sermon, I will preach the foundation supporting us. My scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of Matthew 16:13-18. The sermon title for today makes this declaration.

“Jesus is the Only Foundation”

Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.

Today, at 11:00 am, flu and COVID shots will be given sponsored by Walgreens. The shingles and RSV shots will be available if you have insurance. In addition to our Livestream, I am on the radio at 5:15 AM CST each Sunday morning. Here’s the link.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I pray you are doing well on this 1st Sunday of October. I am thankful for another day. Once again, I am grateful to the Lord for another day to be alive, alert, and clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. No one can convince me that I am not grateful to the Lord. He is the Joy of my Salvation. How are you and your household doing?

Are you a person who despises humble beginnings? How would you feel if, after considerable time, your times seem to remain small and humble? Would you seek to break out of that shell, or could you find contentment if you knew this was God’s will for you? Being content where God has planted you is much safer and better than moving into something greater, and God is not with you. If God does not build the house, all your labors are in vain. Little can become much when it is placed in the Master’s hand.

In today's sermon, I will preach about a little servant of God who took on a gigantic task because he believed God was with him. He used what was at his disposal, and God did the rest. My scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of I Samuel 17:48-49. The sermon title for today makes this statement.
“Small Yet Effective”
I hope you will read the entire 17th chapter of I Samuel to get a broader perspective. The reality is not how large or how small you are. Yes. Hey, Sunshine. The issue is, only what you do for Christ will last.

Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.

I want to encourage you to, enjoy Jesus today; and if you don’t know Him, today is a great day to make that connection with the Lord.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I pray you are doing well on this 5th Sunday of September. I am thankful for another day. I'm alive, alert, clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. No one can convince me that I am not grateful to the Lord. He is the strength of my lift. It is in Him that I live, move, and have my being. How would you describe the greatness of God?

People are notorious for making excuses. In this regard, an excuse is a lie that has been dressed up. We will be honored to have The Reverend Marlon A. Winfrey, as our featured speaker. He pastors the Zion Temple Church of Christ. He is my beloved son with whom I am well pleased.

In today's sermon, he will preach from Luke 14:15-24. The sermon title for today is:

“No More Excuses”

After reading this passage and hearing this message, you should be able to extinguish any excuse-making you have and be willing to just do what you know you should without further delays.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

It is with gratitude in my heart to the Lord that I say, the Lord is my Light and Salvation. He has done it for me again. I am fully awake, and I am clothed in my right mind. I also have a reasonable portion of health and strength. In simple terms, I'm saying God is good!

Reverend Patricia Coleman will preach in today's sermon. Her scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of Hebrews 10:19-23. The subject for this sermon is,

“Having Assurance in the Lord"

After reading this passage and hearing this message, you should be able to decipher whether you have this blessed assurance. Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.

I want to encourage you to, enjoy Jesus today; if you don’t know Him, today is a great day to connect with the Lord.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I pray you are doing well on this 3rd Sunday of September. I am thankful for another day. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, the Lord has brought me into this day, and I have great confidence that He will see me through. I'm alive, alert, clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. No one can convince me that I am not grateful to the Lord. He is my Light and Salvation. How are you and your household doing?

Do you remember when you first gave your life over to Christ? Wasn’t that a happy day and time for you? Do you remember how zealous you were? Do you remember those precious times that you spent reading your bible, saying your prayers, and above all, how you would share your testimony with both the saved and the unsaved? Do you recall how proud you were as you saw yourself growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Let me ask you, are you still doing those things you once did? Has your love and desire to follow the Lord Jesus Christ been enhanced since that time, or are you sitting on a back burner with the fire out?

In today's sermon, I will preach about one of the Beatitudes Jesus spoke about in the Gospel of Matthew. It is my personal belief that too many Christians are no longer hungering for the righteousness of God anymore. There is a spirit of complacency among so many Believers. It appears to me that they can take it or leave it when it comes to God’s ways. This to me is an unfortunate place to be in. My scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of Matthew 5:6. The sermon title for today asks this question:

“Are You Hungering for God?”

After reading this passage and hearing this message, you should be able to decipher whether you are hungering or thirsting for God. I want to encourage you to tune in to discover ways you can rekindle the fire that has gone out.

Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.

I want to encourage you to, enjoy Jesus today; if you don’t know Him, today is a great day to make that connection with the Lord.

God morning FB Family and Friends,

God bless you today. I pray you are doing well on this 2nd Sunday of the month. I am thankful for another day. Beyond any doubt, the Lord has brought me into this day, and I have great confidence that He will see me through. I'm alive, alert, clothed in my right mind, with a reasonable portion of health and strength. No one can convince me that I am not grateful to the Lord. How are you and your household doing?

Have you ever been so busy to the point that you couldn’t determine if you were coming or leaving? Have you ever allowed situations in your life to pile so high that your vision was impaired? Have you had moments in life when your problems seemed larger than God’s ability to deliver you? Did death ever enter your mind as your only escape from the things that were pressing you? If so, this means you are living in the real world along with the rest of us.

In today's sermon, I will preach about a man of God who was not ashamed of the God he was serving. He was faithful to carry out the assignments God gave to him and had a boldness in ministry. One day, he was threatened by an evil queen who threatened to take his life within the space of one day. This was a game changer for this preacher, who found himself in a valley of depression. Perhaps, you might be asking this question, “If a person is anchored in the Lord, is depression for that person possible?” We will explore this question and hopefully, we will arrive at a good place. My scripture for this sermon is found in the Book of I Kings 19:11-18. The sermon title for today is:

“I’m Getting Out, of My Depression”

After reading this passage and hearing this message, you should understand that depression is real and that it can affect people everywhere. It can hit the rich, poor, sinners, and the saints. DELIVERANCE, however, is possible. I am anticipating a great time of worship of our Great God and fellowship with the children of God.

Our worship at the Pioneer Church is at 9:00 AM. We will also Livestream at 9:00 AM on Facebook and on YouTube under Pioneer MB Church of South Holland.
