Today marks the first day of the novena to the Sacred Heart. As part of the United States' Semiquincentennial celebration, the bishops of the United States will consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11th. During this time of prayer, please consider praying as well for an increase in vocations to the priesthood here in the Diocese of Richmond, that the Lord would stir up in the hearts of many young men the desire to conform their hearts and lives to his own as priests. As our own Servant of God Frank Parater observed, "The Sacred Heart never fails those who love Him."
