In today's Gospel, Jesus assures us that "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Whenever we faithfully gather—as a parish community, as a family, as a group of friends—Christ is with us.

May we be mindful of His presence in one another and work toward building communities rooted in His love.

Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Teresa of Kolkata (Mother Teresa), a humble servant of the poorest of the poor. May her example inspire us to love radically, serve humbly, and see Christ in everyone we meet.

Our parish in Maynardville is named in her honor. You can also find a statue of her in the narthex of the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

St. Teresa, pray for us!

We are excited and honored to welcome Bishop Mark Beckman to Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, November 7th for our Holy Spirit Catholic Church Tours and Arts & Crafts Festival. We are happy to have Bishop Beckman join us later in the afternoon and to have him celebrate our 5:30pm Mass with our parish family.

Please join us as we celebrate the rich history of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the many people who have helped make our parish the faith-filled community it is today.

Come celebrate our faith, history, fellowship, and future together! ❤️

Hey Holy Spirit, ever wonder how "Gregorian Chant," the unaccompanied, monophonic singing of sacred songs in Latin, got its name? Well, the style was formalized and promoted by St. Gregory the Great, a 7th-century pope whose feast day we celebrate today.

Gregorian Chant isn't outdated--in fact, Pope Leo XIV is promoting its usage throughout the Church. Read the accompanying article to learn more about this style of sacred music and how you can "sing with the Pope." Dan Roman, a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in South Pittsburg, completed a charity bicycle ride of 5,000-plus miles from coast to coast this spring and summer, putting up with considerable weather and bike issues along the way, but all to honor his late father and support research into and raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease, which his dad suffered from.

An era really has come to an end for the Knoxville Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.

A farewell reception for Patty Johnson was held on July 22 as the lay organization’s longtime leader has relocated with her husband to Nashville. Mrs. Johnson has served the CCW for decades, including as diocesan CCW president, director of the Louisville Province CCW, and president of the National Council for Catholic Women.

September always has so much in store, but this year it's even better: Fulton Sheen, the great American archbishop and evangelist, will be beatified on Sep. 24!
