FIFTH SUNDAY OUTREACH 💙

Last Saturday and Sunday, we had the opportunity to get out into our community and serve through various outreach projects and acts of kindness. It’s always such a blessing to serve our community and be the hands and feet of Jesus! 🙏🏼

We’re especially grateful for our partnership with Isaiah 117 House Johnston County NC and Chick-fil-A, (CFA ON SUNDAY, what!!) which allowed us to provide meals for our neighbors experiencing homelessness**. We’re thankful for the opportunity to come alongside others who are making a difference in our community! ❤️

Our next 5️⃣th Sunday Outreach is November 29! 🗓️ Mark your calendars, and as the date approaches, watch for ways you can join us and serve alongside us.

🕰️ Join us at LightWay every Sunday at 10 AM!*⛪️

Come worship with us. Come serve with us. Come be a light in our community! ✨

FIFTH SUNDAY LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FOR US.

Instead of meeting at Smithfield Cinemas, we take church into our community and serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Tomorrow, a group of us will be serving throughout the community, while a few of us will be hanging out at Alta’s Cafe & Deli in downtown Selma from 9–11:30 AM. ☕️

📍 114 W. Waddell St., Selma, NC

We’ll be making blessing bags at 9 AM, but we’d also love to meet YOU!

Need a friend? Someone to talk to? Prayer? Maybe you’re looking for a church but aren’t quite ready to walk through the doors.

☕️ Come grab a coffee and sit with us. No pressure. Just conversation, community, and people who care. ❤️

We’d love to see you!

🎉 One year! 🎉

We can hardly believe it’s already been a year since we first began meeting together as a church family in host homes. Since then, God has faithfully led us every step of the way, and now we’re gathering together in the theater!

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12) and “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). We are so thankful for the way He has faithfully led and guided us this past year, and we’re excited to see where He leads us next.

Here’s to year one! 🧁🎂🤍**

🎉 We’re celebrating ONE YEAR as a church family!

We can hardly believe it’s already been a year since we first started meeting together! This Sunday, Pastor Todd is inviting you to come celebrate with us as we enjoy some cupcakes, look back at all God has done over the past year, and share a little about what God has laid on our hearts and what we’re dreaming about for the future.

We’d love for you to join us as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and look forward to all that’s ahead! 🧁🤍

Paul had been radically transformed by Jesus. He went from persecuting Christians to proclaiming Christ—and yet, he still talked openly about the struggle with sin.

That’s the tension we see in 1 Corinthians 6.

“And such were some of you.”

Washed.
Justified.
Sanctified.
Set apart in Christ.
But still struggling.

Being transformed by Jesus doesn’t mean we never stumble. It means we no longer want to stay where we are. God calls us to let our behavior begin to match our identity in Christ.

Don’t let the struggle convince you to give up. Remember who you are, clean out the sin, glorify God in everything, and stand firm.

💭 If you’ve ever been to Smithfield Cinemas you’ve probably thought “it’s just my local movie theater”, playing all the latest movies and sometimes the throwbacks. And you’re right. 🍿

….but….

✝️ ON SUNDAYS at 10 AM, theater 3 & 4 are set aside for something different. These spaces are where our LightWay Kids learn about Jesus, where we gather as a church to worship, hear God’s word, pray, encourage one another and grow together.

🎥 The building may be a theater, but the church ⛪️ is the people. And we love that this is where God has us right now!

So come on in. We’d love to save you a seat.

There is something powerful about God’s people gathering together.

Hebrews 10 reminds us to encourage one another, stir one another up to love and good works, and not neglect meeting together. In a world that constantly pulls us apart, God calls His church to draw near to Him—and to one another.

Church isn’t just something we watch. It’s a family we belong to.

Throughout Scripture, people from every walk of life sat with Jesus. Zacchaeus. A sinful woman. Peter. The disciples. Even Judas.

The table was the same.
Jesus was the same.
The difference was the heart.

Transformation isn’t found simply by being near Jesus. It comes from approaching Him with a seeking, humble, obedient, and repentant heart.

How we approach the table matters.
