CONGRATULATIONS ON 9 YEARS OF RECOVERY MINISTRY Salem Recovery Alive 👏🏽

It hasn't always been easy. In fact, it's been more uphill than it has been down.
But you've remained faithful to what God has called you to do:
Bring healing and restoration to the people and community of Salem, West Virginia.
Whether it be through Monday night Power Groups,
Taking a dilapidated, forgotten about Victorian Home and restored it to be Recovery Alive Homes Restoring Victoria for Women,
Or taking a dilapidated, forgotten about church building and restored it to be a Coffee Shop, Thrift Store & Meeting place creating workforce opportunities for those same very ladies of Restoring Victoria.

We love you Salem Recovery Alive and we are cheering you on!!!!

This week, we’re honored to welcome Andrew Jones as our Recovery Story speaker on Wednesday and Friday. Andrew’s story is powerful—not because everything worked out perfectly, but because he's learned what it means to surrender.

His journey includes battles with alcohol addiction, mental health, PTSD, and self-worth—and coming face to face with the truth that he couldn’t fight his way to freedom on his own.

If you’ve never been to Recovery Alive before, this is your invitation. You don’t have to be sober. You don’t have to have your life together. You don’t even have to know exactly what you’re recovering from. You just have to be willing to show up.

Step It Up Groups focus on the Steps of Recovery and Recovery Related Topics based on the Recovery Alive Handbook. Step It Up Groups are standalone groups that happen throughout the week and are not connected to a Power Group. These groups offer an opportunity to participate in an extra meeting to give you the boost you need to STEP IT UP!

Current Step It Up Group offerings are:

Women: Mondays at 8am EST
NEW ❗Women: Tuesdays at 8pm EST
Women: Wednesdays at 1pm EST
Men: Mondays at 8pm EST

I came into recovery needing to get sober, and as someone who once didn’t believe in God at all, I ended up finding Jesus and a relationship with Him that changed everything. I recently had the chance to lead a Process Group and walk alongside other women, and it amazes me that God is using the parts of my story I once wanted to hide for His purpose."

RECOVERY LOOKS LIKE FINDING PURPOSE 🎨

Several years into recovery after over a decade in active alcohol addiction, God made it plain to Andrew what his professional purpose in life is: to go back to school and become a Therapist and Addictions Specialist. He wants to make recovery possible for One More...and then One More...and One More. With his BSW completed, he's onto his MSW and soon he will be walking out that purpose.
