☀️ Happy Summer! ☀️

If you're anything like me, you absolutely love this time of year.

The sunshine. The blue skies. The warm water. The longer days. The laughter around bonfires and backyard gatherings. There is something about summer that reminds us what it feels like to breathe a little deeper and live a little lighter.

But I also know this...

Just because the sun is shining doesn't mean everything feels bright inside.

For some, summer brings more time to think about the things they've been trying to avoid. The marriage that feels distant. The anxiety that won't quiet down. The grief that still shows up unexpectedly. The teenager who struggled through the school year. The child whose confidence seems to be slipping away. The exhaustion of carrying everyone else's needs while ignoring your own.

Sometimes the slower pace of summer simply makes it harder to ignore what your heart has been trying to tell you all along.

What if this summer wasn't just about vacations, sunshine, and checking things off your bucket list?

What if it was the season you finally gave yourself permission to heal?

To have the conversation you've been putting off.
To process the hurt you've been carrying.
To reconnect with who God created you to be.
To help your child or teen step into the next school year stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Yesterday at church, I talked about forgiveness… not as pretending pain didn’t happen… but as refusing to let pain continue to control your life.

We talked about trauma, shame, bitterness, self-forgiveness, healing, Jesus, and what it looks like to become free again.

If you are carrying hurt…
if you feel stuck…
if you are functioning but not fully free…
I truly believe this message may help you.

Mother’s Day can hold so many emotions. ❤️

Today we celebrate the moms who give endlessly…
The moms raising babies, teenagers, and grown children.
The stepmoms, grandmas, foster moms, adoptive moms, spiritual moms, and the women who mother everyone around them with love and compassion.

But today, I also want to acknowledge the women whose hearts ache a little deeper.

The women who desperately wanted children and couldn’t.
The women who lost babies through miscarriage or heartbreak.
The women who are spending today grieving, longing, wondering, or healing.
The women who feel forgotten on a day that seems to celebrate what they prayed for.

Please know this: your worth was never dependent on whether or not you became a mother. Your love still matters. Your nurturing spirit still changes lives. The way you show up for others still leaves fingerprints on this world.

Some of the most “mothering” people I know have never had children of their own.

So today, we honor ALL women carrying love in their hearts — whether loudly celebrated or silently carried.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who give love in every form. You are loved. 🤍🤍
