Is it "Freedom" or a Firewall for Profit? 🇮🇷🇺🇸
We’ve seen this movie before. Everyone is talking about "saving" the Iranian people, but let’s look at the receipts:

📉 The Cost of "Care": While the "Maximum Pressure" campaign claims to support civilians, it’s pushed inflation in Iran to 40% (70% for food). If the goal is liberation, why are the people the ones starving while the elites stay powered up?

🛢️ Follow the Money: From 25% tariffs on anyone trading with Iran to the fight over the Strait of Hormuz, the "America First" strategy looks a lot like "Global Oil Prices First." Is this about human rights, or keeping gas prices low and defense contracts high?

📜 A History Lesson: People forget that the path to today’s Sharia-based system started with the 1953 coup—a move orchestrated by the West to protect oil interests, which eventually backfired into the 1979 Revolution. We’ve been meddling for financial gain for 70 years; why would 2026 be any different?

đź’° $200 Billion Question: The administration is asking for $200 billion for operations in Iran. Imagine what that money could do for healthcare or housing right here at home.

It’s time to stop pretending these wars are about "democracy" when they’ve always been about the bottom line.
What do you think? Are we actually helping the Iranian people, or just protecting a bank account? 👇

The "Blowback" No One Talks About: How the U.S. Built Today’s Iran 🇮🇷🇺🇸

We hear a lot about "justice" and "democracy" in the Middle East today, but history has a much darker receipts. If you want to understand why Iran looks the way it does in 2026, you have to look at the "Made in the USA" labels from the 50s and 70s. 🧵
1. The Death of Democracy (1953) 📉
Before the Ayatollahs, Iran had a democratically elected leader, Mohammad Mossadegh. He wanted one thing: Iran’s oil to belong to Iranians. The CIA and UK didn't like that. They orchestrated Operation Ajax, overthrew him, and installed the Shah as an absolute monarch.
The Lesson: When you kill a democracy, you don't get stability—you get a vacuum.
2. The Shah’s Terror & U.S. Training 🚔
For 25 years, the U.S. backed the Shah’s brutal secret police, SAVAK. They were trained to suppress, torture, and silence dissent. While the West saw a "modern ally," Iranians saw a puppet dictator funded by American tax dollars.
The Result: The only place left to organize resistance was the mosque. The U.S. effectively forced the opposition into the arms of the religious radicals.
3. The 1979 Explosion đź’Ą
By the time the Revolution hit, the anger wasn't just against the Shah—it was against the "Great Satan" (the U.S.) that kept him in power. The current regime didn't appear out of thin air; it was the radical response to decades of foreign meddling.
The Bottom Line:
When we see the regime's brutality today, we have to acknowledge the fingerprints left behind. You can’t set a house on fire and then act surprised when it’s still burning 50 years later.

This is what they idolize and have infatuation with... anyone idolizing this movie, idolize racism... this is America!!

"One battle after another" usually describes a relentless struggle or a period of time where as soon as one problem is solved, a new one appears. The phenomenon of White Americans consuming and seemingly "idolizing" Black struggle is a well-documented sociological trend rooted in historical power dynamics and media commodification.
Why Black Struggle is Consumed by White Audiences
Scholars and critics identify several key reasons why narratives of Black pain are frequently greenlit and popular among White viewers:

* The "White Savior" Narrative: Many mainstream films about Black struggle are structured to include a White protagonist who "saves" or assists Black characters. This allows White audiences to feel a sense of moral superiority or "enlightenment" without having to confront their own role in systemic issues.
* Validation of Hierarchy: Historical trauma (like slave narratives) can sometimes inadvertently reinforce the idea that Black people are "helpless" or "docile," which some critics argue subtly upholds a racial hierarchy where White people are the "enlightened" actors.
* Avenue for Empathy Without Action: Consuming "Black trauma p**n" can provide a "surface-level" emotional experience that feels like activism to the viewer but does not require any real-world change.
* Exclusion of Modern Joy: Critics note that while Black struggle is heavily funded, Black "joy" or "slice-of-life" stories (where race isn't the primary conflict) are often ignored by major studios. This limits the "Black imagination" to one of constant victimization.

Why the World "Accepts" It
The global acceptance of these narratives is often tied to the structure of the entertainment industry and historical precedents:

* Hollywood’s Global Reach: Major film and TV executives are overwhelmingly White (87–92%), and they control which stories are told and distributed internationally.
* History of Performance: From 19th-century minstrel shows to modern media, Black pain and humiliation have long been packaged as "valuable television" or "content" for broader audiences.
* Commodification of Trauma: Black struggle has become a "marketable" genre. Films centered on Black trauma are often seen as "prestige" or "Oscar-bait," leading to a cycle where these are the only types of Black stories that receive massive financial backing and global marketing.
* Educational Shield: These films are often marketed as "essential history" or "educational," which makes it difficult to criticize them without appearing to dismiss the importance of historical accuracy.

Ultimately, this cycle continues because it is profitable and "comfortable" for the dominant culture to view Blackness through the lens of struggle rather than through the lens of power, success, or everyday humanity.

Discount shop or just a rip off🤔🙇‍♂️

and the wholesale margins. For years, the "secret sauce" of dollar stores was buying massive quantities of items from China for 10 to 25 cents per unit. Even with shipping and overhead, selling that item for $1.00 gave them a healthy profit.
By hiking the price to $1.75 or $2.75, they aren't just covering costs—they are aggressively padding their margins at the customer's expense. Here is why your point about "no reason" for the hike hits home:

* The Profit Pad: If they buy a widget for 20 cents and sell it for $1.75, that is a 775% markup. Even if shipping costs doubled, it wouldn't justify moving the price from $1.25 to $1.75.
* The "Tariff" Excuse: While companies blame 10-20% tariffs, a 20-cent item would only see a 2 to 4 cent increase in cost. Jumping the retail price by 50 cents or a dollar is using the news as an excuse to "gouge" the consumer.
* Bad Advisors: As you said, the 99 Cents Only stores failed because they stopped being a "bargain" and started being a "bad deal." Dollar Tree's advisors are pushing for $20 items to please Wall Street investors, but they are alienating the everyday shoppers who know exactly what a roll of paper towels should cost.

They are essentially betting that people are too busy or too tired to do the math and realize that Walmart is still selling the same stuff for 68 cents.
Do you think Dollar Tree is counting on "convenience" to keep people coming in, or are they just greedy and trying to see how much the American consumer will take before they walk away?

The Unlikely Refund: Who Benefits from Trump's Tariff Ruling? Not The American People! Hijacked by wealthy, corporate America!

The Supreme Court's February 2026 ruling striking down the Trump administration's tariffs as illegal has left many wondering if they'll see a refund. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that average consumers will receive direct refunds, despite bearing the cost of higher prices.

Here's the breakdown:

📌Who gets the money back?*: Refunds will go to importers of record, such as Costco, Walmart, or FedEx, which paid the import duties to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. These companies are already filing lawsuits to recoup billions.
📌Will consumers get refunds?*: Most likely not. Although consumers and businesses bore roughly 90% of the tariff costs, there's no direct mechanism for individual shoppers to claim a refund.
📌Will companies pass the savings down?*: Some businesses might lower prices if they receive refunds, but it's not guaranteed, and they're not legally required to do so.

Democratic lawmakers have introduced legislation, such as the "RELIEF Act," to force automatic refunds, but there's no automatic system in place yet.

The estimated $175 billion in collected tariffs will likely go to corporations that paid the tariffs, leaving the costs absorbed by the public. The refund process is expected to be a long, complicated legal battle, with President Trump indicating litigation could take up to five years.

Nevada... what you don't know could hurt you!

Project 2025, a policy playbook created by The Heritage Foundation for a conservative administration, directly advocates for the resumption of explosive nuclear weapons testing at the Nevada National Security Site (formerly the Nevada Test Site). [1, 2]
Here is a breakdown of what Project 2025 proposes regarding nuclear testing in Nevada and the actions being taken in response.
What Project 2025 Says About Nuclear Testing in Nevada

• Restore Testing Readiness: The document calls on the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to "restore readiness" to conduct underground nuclear explosive tests.
• Reject Treaties: It urges the next administration to reject ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), which has maintained a global, voluntary ban on explosive testing since 1992.
• "Willingness to Test": Project 2025 advises indicating a "willingness to conduct nuclear tests in response to adversary nuclear developments if necessary".
• Stockpile Modernization: The plan argues that testing is necessary to modernize the U.S. nuclear triad and to ensure the safety and reliability of existing warheads, despite arguments from scientists that this can be done without explosive testing.
• Revive Yucca Mountain: The project also calls for restarting the licensing process for the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository in Nevada, a long-stalled project. [1, 3, 4, 5]

What the Government/Lawmakers Are Doing to Stop This
In response to these proposals and statements from former President Trump indicating intent to resume testing, Nevada officials and members of Congress are actively working to block such moves:

• "No Nuclear Testing Without Approval Act": Nevada Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto, along with Representatives Susie Lee and Steven Horsford, introduced legislation in November 2025 designed to stop any president from unilaterally resuming nuclear tests. This act requires explicit congressional authorization for any explosive nuclear test.
• The RESTRAIN Act: Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) spearheaded the RESTRAIN Act, which amends the U.S. Code to prohibit explosive nuclear testing and block funding for such activities.
• Opposing New Testing: Nevada’s bipartisan leadership—including Governor Joe Lombardo (a Republican)—has previously expressed opposition to both renewed nuclear testing and the reactivation of the Yucca Mountain site.
• Securing Commitments: Senators have secured commitments from some NNSA nominees during confirmation hearings to not resume explosive nuclear testing.
• Resolution Against Testing: In May 2025, the Nevada Legislature unanimously passed a resolution opposing the resumption of explosive nuclear weapons testing. [6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12]

While some in the Trump administration (as of Nov 2025) have suggested that planned testing would be "subcritical" (non-explosive) experiments to maintain the stockpile rather than nuclear explosions, the Nevada delegation and other opponents are working to lock in a full moratorium. [13, 14]

Velma Grant, a Black real estate developer, built over 600 homes in the Willowbrook area of Los Angeles during the mid-1940s, providing housing for Black residents and veterans. Working alongside architect Paul Williams, she secured financing to develop the area just south of Watts, overcoming restrictive housing covenants.
Key details about this development include:
The Project: Located in Willowbrook, an unincorporated part of LA near Compton, the development included the Carver Manor neighborhood.
Impact: These homes provided essential, high-quality housing for Black families during a time of segregation and redlining.
Significance: Velma Grant secured a $2.29 million loan for the project in 1946, before women typically had the right to credit in their own names.
Collaboration: Architect Paul Williams designed the homes with varied features, avoiding a "cookie-cutter" look.
These homes still stand and are recognized for their historical significance in Black homeownership.
