My feet touch the soft blue carpet
My dog stretches and greets me
Tail wagging
Her beautiful dark eyes connect directly with my heart
I shuffle to the bathroom
Throw on some yoga pants, a shirt and tennis shoes
Unlock the door
Head out for my morning walk

The sun is just beginning to rise
Everything shimmering in the morning light
The sparrows and red birds singing
The flowers showing off their vibrant colors
What a gift to breathe fresh air
To see and give thanks for the beauty that holds us

I want to live my days with a grateful heart
To see the beauty and goodness in all things
To keep my heart tuned to Love
