Today began the three days (the Triduum) when we remember Jesus passion and death. On Maundy Thursday we remember Jesus giving us the new command or mandate to “love one another as I have loved you.” Jesus washed his disciples feet as a token of his sacrificial love. He also shared his last supper with his disciples. Tonight we had bread made by the children and youth and participated in foot washing.

Way to go we made it through week 2! We are now against the team that brought in the most last week. Hopelink Can Madness Food Drive for March
***Please continue to bring canned food to help our neighbors!***

This is a March-Madness-style food and fund drive where local businesses and community groups—including First Lutheran of Richmond Beach—compete to stock the shelves of Hopelink’s five no-cost food markets during a season when donations typically drop. Each week, participating teams face off in one-on-one brackets, with winners advancing until a champion is crowned. We can continue to compete each week for a second chance shoot out. This is a great event and an amazing way to help our community.

Food collection continues each week! Help us at our weekly weigh-ins. To make a cash donation, click here to follow the link so that our team gets credit. https://fundraise.hopelink.org/team/805926

HEY 12's! While you are cheering on our Hawks — let’s help tackle hunger together! From now until the final whistle, Team Northwest Washington and Team New England will seek to outdo one another for the sake of the gospel. The fans that donate the most to ELCA World Hunger through their team page by Feb 8 at 10pm will help their synod take home the title of ELCA World Hunger Champion — regardless of the outcome on the field.
