You can be doing everything right…
and still feel anxious, stuck, or mentally drained.

So what’s actually going on?

Most people assume it’s their situation.
But more often, it’s how the mind is processing it.

Starting April 21, we’re launching a new 6-week course:
Worrier to Warrior - Jewish Secrets to Feeling Good, However You Feel

This course isn’t about “just think positive.”
It’s about understanding how your emotions actually work - and learning how to work with them.

Drawing on cutting-edge psychology and timeless Jewish wisdom, you’ll learn how to:

• Break free from impostor syndrome
• Turn guilt into growth (instead of shame)
• Build real resilience - not just push through
• Stop chasing happiness and start sustaining it
• Strengthen your relationships in a deeper way

Details:
📅 Begins Tuesday, April 21
🕖 7:00–8:00 PM

If you’ve ever felt like your mind doesn’t give you a break - this course will change how you handle it.

✨ Save the Date | A Historic Moment for Our Community ✨

On Sunday, May 17, our community will mark a historic milestone with the dedication of our first Torah - the Gedalius Family Torah, written in loving memory of Jack & Mary Gedalius and dedicated by their children.

The ceremony will include the completion of the final letters of the Torah by the scribe, followed by a historic procession through the streets, a joyous Torah parade with dancing and celebration, and a full catered sit-down meal marking this special occasion.

The Gedalius family is dedicating this Torah to our community, and community members are invited to participate in this great mitzvah by purchasing letters for each family member, as well as verses and parshas, and by taking part in the writing of the Torah itself.

TONIGHT!
At some point in life, almost every family faces a moment they never expected: a medical decision that isn’t just medical. It’s emotional. It’s moral. And it’s overwhelming. “Should we do everything possible?” “Should we stop?” “What’s the right thing to do?” Suddenly, the hardest questions aren’t theoretical anymore - they’re personal.

That’s why I want to remind you that our JLI course Medicine & Morals begins TONIGHT. We’ll be exploring real-life medical dilemmas - end-of-life decisions, organ donation, complicated pregnancies, and more - and how Judaism’s timeless wisdom guides us when the stakes are highest and the answers are anything but simple.

This is one of those courses you hope you’ll never need - but you’ll be incredibly grateful to have taken if you ever do. It’s fascinating, practical, and deeply relevant. I truly hope you’ll join us this Tuesday night.

🗓 Begins Tuesday, January 20
📍 Six Tuesdays | Free of charge
💡 Sponsorship opportunities available to dedicate a class or the course (2 of 6 classes are still available for sponsorship)

We’re 27% There!!! Help Carry Us Across the Finish Line!

Thank you to the many friends who have already stepped up - together, $9,798 has been raised, bringing us to 27% of our goal.

The response has been inspiring. And now, with just 30 hours remaining, this is the moment where momentum matters most.

This campaign is about something simple - and urgent:
Ensuring that Jewish life in Shelton continues to be lived openly, proudly, and without fear.

When the world feels less certain for Jews, we choose to show up more - with education, celebration, connection, and visible Jewish pride. That only happens because people like you choose to act.

If you’ve been meaning to give, now is the time.
If you’ve already given, thank you - and please consider helping us spread the word.

Every gift right now makes a real difference.

Let’s finish these final hours strong - together.

👉 Donate now and help us reach our goal

With gratitude and hope,

Rabbi Shneur & Leah Brook

Tonight we were privileged to hear from Irit Ben Arye, wife of October 7th hero “Chaim the Bus Driver.”

With courage and honesty, she shared her story - a story of pain, resilience, and the power of choosing life and hope after tragedy.
Her words touched every heart in the room and reminded us of the strength of the Jewish spirit.
