Evangelical/Missouri Synod practice/Doctrine. The Evangelicals (Evs.) stress a necessity of a personal conversion experience or decision. Baptism really has no or little religious function.

They (Evs.) also have little use for the Lord's Supper. Missouri Synod Lutherans (L), on the other hand, see the real presence of Christ's body and blood.

(Evs.) tend to be legalistic. They sometimes bring in some of the Old Testament ceremonial law. (L) see that Christ did away with these.

(Evs.) must scrutinize their inner lives to consider if they have been saved. (L) look to objective facts of Christ's atonement and their Baptism.

(Evs.) find forgiveness of their sins when they first turned to Christ. (L) find forgiveness of their sins every Sunday when they hear the pastor's words of absolution.

(Evs) receive Christ at their conversion. (L) receive Christ every time they have Holy Communion.

There are more differences between these groups, no time nor space here.

Our Little Bulletin Bible Study
The Megiddo Mosaic was found in 2005. A Roman Centurion helped build it in a place of Christian worship. Consider this for a moment. Third-century archaeological evidence of a Christian church--one of the earliest we know of--shows us that early on, the worship of Christ had reached the Roman military at Megiddo. Christianity was not even legalized by Constantine until nearly a century later.

My point, if there is one: there are at least three Roman Centurions that figure in the worship of Christ. Theone who asked Jesus to heal his servant, the one at the foot of the cross saying, "truly, this was the son of God", and now we find a third one, who helped make this mosaic. Roman Centurions worshiping Jesus? Go figure.

Who was the companion of Cleopas on the road to Emaus in Acts 24? (Besides Jesus of course.) The ONLY other ONE privileged to the conversation and subsequent events at that meal was the one who wrote the only book where these events are referred to. Who wrote the book of Acts? Luke, the same one who wrote the Gospel. Luke was Cleopas' companion. He, with Cleopas, was one of Jesus' larger band of disciples.

Our Little Bulletin Bible Study
In Acts 24, we have the account of two disciples walking on the road to the town of Emmaus. In verse 18, one of them is identified as Cleopas. Both men were of the larger group of Jesus' disciples. The question is, who was the second man walking and talking with Cleopas? Jesus, at first, hid His identity from these two.

A few passages to fact check:
Matthew 26:26
Mark 14:22
Luke 22:19
1 Corinthians 11:23-24.

In each passage, the text shows that Jesus took "bread and wine" with a blessing or thanksgiving and distributed it to the disciples with the words of institution.

Jesus, no doubt, used real natural bread and natural wine. We should state that using something other than "natural bread" or "wine" would not be in keeping with the Lord's Words. What kind of bread or wine is no big deal, as long as bread and "fruit of the vine wine" is used.

The Natural Knowledge of God is that which can be known about Him from what we see in what He created. See Romans 1:19-20.
See also Psalm 14:1. Also, our conscience, therefore, holding us accountable for our deeds to a Power higher than ourselves, testifies to the existence of God. See Romans 1:32 and Romans 2:15. In contrast to the Natural Knowledge of God stands the Revealed Knowledge of God, which is only found in Scripture.
