Honoring and remembering my Uncle Wally this Memorial Day.
This Memorial Day feels especially hard as it’s the first since we lost him. I miss him more than words can say.
I’m so proud of his service in the Navy and grateful for the sacrifices he made. Today, I’m remembering not only the veteran he was, but the amazing uncle I was blessed to have. His memory, love, and legacy will always stay with us.
Forever loved and deeply missed!
Amanda Kadlec, his niece

Frank “Ted” Price, QM2, proudly served aboard the USS Triton SS(R)N 586 during the Cold War, and his service in the United States Navy shaped the rest of his life. His time aboard the Triton was so meaningful that he later named his intermodal trucking company Triton Transport Services, carrying that legacy into his business, family, and community.

Ted spent many years attending Triton reunions and supporting initiatives that helped his shipmates keep the USS Triton legacy alive. One of those efforts included finding and relocating the ship’s bell after it had been missing for many years. Thanks to Ted, that bell is now safely housed in the Triton Barracks at Great Lakes Naval Yard after being personally driven there by him.

Ted also contributed locally to the USS Cod and her revitalization, honoring another important piece of naval history close to home. His dedication to preserving the stories, ships, and service of those who came before him reflected the pride he carried as a Navy veteran.

Many years later, after the Triton Sail Park was built in Washington State, a plaque was added in the barracks listing all Triton shipmates, including Ted.

His love for his Navy service, his country, his business, and his grandchildren was unparalleled. He is greatly missed, and his legacy continues through the history he helped preserve and the family who carries his story forward.
