Born Again is just a term

The Patterson’s have been faithful servants to The Desert Place Haven of Rest for over thirteen years. They were called to serve here out of their home church in New York after Jim retired from Xerox. Jim has taken care of the property doing everything from mowing, mechanical repairs, guiding work crews that are able to help from other churches, to cleaning cabins. I don’t think there is anything that Jim cannot fix or has not done on property. The now adult children Bill and Sara help with cleaning the cabins and Bill also looks after security. Connie takes care of all the laundry each week. Please pray for the Patterson’s as each of them have significant health issues they battle daily. Connie is currently in the hospital so please pray for her and wisdom for the doctor that are treating her.

We love and appreciate the Patterson’s and their servants heart for Gods men and their families!

Today we are under flood warnings here in Sevier County. I am so thankful for the new roofs that were recently put on the 3 cabins and home for larger families. The work crews that came from Pastor Eric Goff’s Lexwin Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC and Pastor Buddy Wimberly’s Lannie Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fl is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your labor of love for the preachers and families that utilize this ministry to get some much needed rest.

Pastor Stacey White from Corbin, KY. just left with his work crew, after finishing the new back storage room here at my house. This same bunch built our front porch! These volunteers that labor for The Lord here, sure are a blessing to my heart!

But if you have just half the brain
that God gave Forest Gump

You've figured out their strategy
that lying's all they know
And most would vote for Tinkerbell
before they'd vote for Joe

"MASS SHOOTINGS"

Evil men are "waxing worse"
just like The Master said
And you can't make a trip to town
without tripping 'or the dead

Mass shootings fill the local news
as hate crimes now abound
So criminologists give search
for somethings that profound

They overlook the simple truth
that man has chosen sin
And lack of God is what explains
the awful shape we're in

So they'll blame guns for what goes on
and not an evil heart
Working with the enemy
to tear our land apart

Pushing us to civil war
has always been their goal
Until the Devil has his way
and good folks lose control

They didn't figure you and I
could see their master plan
Or that we'd fight till our last breath
before our guns they ban!
