William Donald "Donnie" Cooley Obituary
William Donald “Donnie” Cooley, Jr., 66, of Bald K**b, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was born August 24, 1960 in Searcy to Donald Cooley and the late JoAnn (Barnett) Cooley.
He was preceded in death by his precious mother JoAnn (Barnett) Cooley, Grandparents Nickolas and Lucile Barnett of Crossett, Arkansas, Marguerite Burchfield of Bald K**b; a special uncle, Melvin Cooley; Special aunts, Ida Mae Burchfield and Glenn Cooley, a mother-in-love, Norma Pate Boyce and Brother-in-love, Wayne Pate.
Donnie has left behind his wife of 46 years, whom he had been together with for nearly 50 years, Belinda Pate Cooley; his children, Will Cooley and wife Cassie, Caleb Cooley and wife Meagan, and Bethany Cooley Godfrey and husband Mickey. Also, left behind his best buddy (his dad) Donald Cooley and bonus mom Sue; his brother Kevin Cooley and wife Rhonda; Niece Shelby Ramsey and husband Austin; a great niece, Taylor Ramsey; bonus sisters, Vicki Cromarty and husband Dave, Julie O’Reilly and husband Marc; bonus niece, Lauren Cromarty; Sister-in-love Judy Pate as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends. Donnie’s favorite people were his grandchildren, Noah Cooley, Miranda Redman, Samantha Brewer, Daijreonna Warren, Amelia Cooley, Mason Cooley, Emberlyn Cooley, Tytan Godfrey, Laiklynn Godfrey, Sayler Cooley, Malachi Cooley, Micah Cooley, and Taitum Godfrey.
Donnie served as a deacon at Central Baptist Church in Bald K**b for 29 years and was a member of Crosby Baptist Church in Searcy. He retired from Entergy and has enjoyed his cattle farm for many years. Donnie was a man of God who adored his family and thrived to follow Jesus in every way. One of his favorite things was that he loved spending time with family and friends at Tates Bluff deer camp. Donnie brightened up any room that he walked into, with his compassion for everyone, no one felt they were alone. He truly had a spirit and heart for Jesus. He will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church in Bald K**b with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
