The next Schuylkill County Quilters Guild is meeting Monday
May 18.

Hand Quilting is continuing - starting at 10am on meeting day. It's a new quilt, so there's a lot of room for hand quilters.
If you are a beginner, perhaps you can bring a small pillow or placemat ready to quilt. We can help you learn or perfect your stitches before you advance to the “BIG” quilt!

We are still collecting the dues for Guild Year at this meeting. If you're new, it's the perfect time to join us or come to your first meeting.

Refreshments will be served during the Social Hour.
Fellowship and Social Hour: 6:00 pm

MEETING CANCELLED - Sorry for the late notice, but tonight's meeting (March 16) of the Schuylkill County Quilt Guild is cancelled. With the severe weather expected later tonight, we cannot in good conscience allow anyone to be in harm's way.

Please contact your table mates to ensure that everyone is notified of this cancellation.

The next Schuylkill County Quilters Guild is meeting Monday March 16 - weather permitting.

Hand Quilting will resume at the March meeting at 10 AM. We will be putting a new quilt in the frame so there will be a lot of room for hand quilters.
If you are a beginner, perhaps you can bring a small pillow or placemat ready to quilt. We can help you learn or perfect your stitches before you advance to the “BIG” quilt!

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 6, 2026

2025/2026 College/ Technical school Scholarship
The Schuylkill County Quilters Guild will award one $1,000 scholarship this school year. The scholarship is open to any graduating senior in Schuylkill County who plans to attend college or a technical school. Please note that school-specific scholarships are no longer available.

Qualifications: include, but are not limited to
Has the student been in a consumer science class?
Has the student been in 4H?
Has the student helped with costuming in the school play?
Has the student completed community service involving the use of textiles?
Has the student worked with textiles in art class?
Does the student quilt, sew, knit or crochet?

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must submit a written statement explaining why they believe they are qualified for this scholarship. Supporting photos may be included, if applicable.
