We would love to walk beside you as we learn to seek God together. Get to know us! WELCOME

What a joy it is to introduce you to our church! You'll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God. At City On A Hill Church, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual

journey. We are a life-giving, multicultural church in Schertz off of main street and our goal is to infuse life and God's love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways. Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there's relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. So, if you are still just checking out the "church scene" and investigating the claims of Jesus Christ, thank you for allowing us to help you in your search. Or, if you are a committed Christ-follower who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at City On A Hill Church. We invite you to visit one of our Sunday (10:30am-12:00pm) morning or Wednesday night Services (7:00pm-8:30pm). Please contact us if you have any questions. God bless you!

Sometimes we move so fast through life that we do not stop to reflect on where we have been, what God has brought us through, and what He may be trying to teach us. Reflection is not about living in the past. It is about slowing down long enough to recognize God’s faithfulness, correction, and guidance. There is wisdom in taking a moment to look within and let the Lord search our hearts.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart.” - Psalm 139:23

Honor matters to God. It is seen in the way we speak, the way we treat people, the way we carry ourselves, and the way we respond even when no one is watching. Honor is not just about titles or public respect. It begins in the heart. It is shown through humility, gratitude, and a willingness to value others. When we walk in honor, we reflect the character of Christ in everyday life.

“In honor giving preference to one another.” - Romans 12:10

Trials have a way of testing our strength, our patience, and our faith. They can leave us asking hard questions and wondering how much longer the road will be. But even in tribulation, God is present. He is not absent in your struggle. He is the One who walks with you through the fire and stays near in the pressure. What you are facing may be difficult, but it is not greater than His grace.

“In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

Peace of mind is hard to hold onto when life feels noisy and overwhelming. Thoughts can race, worries can pile up, and the heart can feel unsettled. But God offers a peace that goes deeper than our circumstances. His peace steadies us, covers us, and reminds us that we do not have to carry every thought alone. When we place our minds on Him, He gives us rest where anxiety once lived.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You.” - Isaiah 26:3

Not every battle we face is visible. Some battles happen in the mind, in the heart, in the spirit, and in the quiet places where fear, temptation, and discouragement try to wear us down. Spiritual warfare is real, but so is the power of God. We do not fight from a place of defeat. We stand in the strength of the Lord, knowing He has already given us what we need to endure and overcome.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” - Ephesians 6:10

Joy is not pretending everything is easy. Joy is the deep confidence that God is still good, even when life feels heavy. It is the quiet strength that helps us keep going when circumstances are less than perfect. The joy of the Lord is not based on what is happening around us. It is rooted in who He is. That is why it can hold us together even in hard seasons.

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10

Sometimes strength is not found in never falling. Sometimes strength is found in getting back up again. If life has knocked you down, if disappointment has shaken you, or if you are trying to find your footing again, do not count yourself out. God is still with you, and falling is not the end of your story. With His help, you can rise again.

“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.” — Proverbs 24:16

Life comes in seasons. Some seasons are full of growth and celebration. Others feel slow, painful, uncertain, or stretching. But every season has purpose when it is placed in God’s hands. Whether you are in a season of pressing forward, healing, waiting, or rebuilding, do not give up. God is present in every chapter, and He is faithful to carry you through each one.

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
