Congregation Mickve Israel Shalom Y'all and welcome to the third oldest Jewish Congregation in America! We are the only neo-Gothic style synagogue in America.

We are a growing congregation and an award winning museum, which is open weekdays from 10:00-4:00pm. Congregation Mickve Israel is a Reform synagogue in the heart of the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia. Our congregation was founded in 1733, just a few months after General James Oglethorpe founded the colony of Georgia. In our tradition of Southern Jewish hospitality, we annually welcome tho

usands of visitors from all over the world to Mickve Israel. We offer tours of our historic sanctuary and museum, and hold worship services on Sabbath and Jewish holidays. Congregation Mickve Israel is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism and the Coastal Museums Association.

We wish everyone all the best for the penultimate Shabbat of 5786. As we prepare for 5787, let us not forget how essential literacy has been for the Jewish world throughout the ages.

We honor the memory of Dolly Parton for all she accomplished and from whom PJ Library took it's inspiration.

Inspiration for great ideas often comes from unexpected places. PJ Library is no exception. The creator of this unique Jewish children’s book program was inspired by a country-music legend — the one and only Dolly Parton.

Bubba's Brigade is back!

The best Shofar blower and Shofar blowing teacher in the universe, Bubba Rosenthal, held his first of three High Holiday Shofar Blowing classes this past Sunday. What a success!

We have some amazing musicians out there who will blow their Shofars for the Family service, Break out Family Program, Tashlich, and after Neilah for these upcoming High Holiday services and programs.
