Our worship offers a safe container in which to have your own experience. We do not demand allegiance to any Dogma. While we do have tendencies of belief, we encourage healthy dialogue and exploration. We think religious practice is meant to help us on our individual and collective spiritual journeys, creating greater Health, Love, Peace, and the Awakening of our fullest potential as Humans. Just as the table of Master Jesus was open to all who came to him, so everyone is welcomed to receive Holy Communion and every other sacrament. We have no restrictions of any kind on weddings or baptisms for those with a sincere desire to experience Divine Blessing. Our Clergy can marry, and women can express their Holy Vocation as Priests and Bishops. The Cosmic Christ Sophia Community recognizes that everyone’s spiritual pathway is unique and different. We encourage you to explore every venue, traditional and non-traditional, that is meaningful to you. In addition to Christian resources many have found Buddhist meditation and Tai Chi very meaningful. Others have found Sufi poetry or the beauty of the Orthodox liturgy to be a spiritual awakening. We recognize that all people are on a Spiritual path, including Atheists and Agnostics who reject the traditional view of an external God and prefer to place their trust in their own experience. In other words, we place no limit when it comes to you discovering what brings you spiritual fulfillment because that is between you and God. About our Name:
We journey forward, expanding our experience of the Cosmic Christ, born at the beginning of time, “anointing” every living Being with Light, and connecting all things in Love. May this revelation help transform our relationship with the Earth and its creatures, and with one another. We continue to cherish our companionship with the living Jesus who unified with that Christic energy, and models its highest expression. May we, too, experience Christ Consciousness. We embrace Sophia, revealed in both the old and new testaments as the Wisdom of God existing throughout creation, and always available to humankind. May we be ever open to the grace of the Holy Spirit- healing, guiding, and empowering us to live as blessings wherever we are and whatever we are doing. We value growing as sacred Community, cherishing our ancient traditions, exploring new ways of connecting with the Divine Presence, continuing to learn how to be good Soul Friends, and to love all our neighbors with compassion. And as always, while we explore and reveal new insights together, we encourage individual Freedom to experience and interpret all our offerings in ways that are meaningful to you.
