On January 4, our parish held its Annual Parish Prosphora.
After the Divine Liturgy, we prayed together a memorial service for the souls of all our departed parishioners and our relatives, as well as for those who were innocently killed during the war and for the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.

After the prayer, the caroling group “Oberih” visited us and, through their heartfelt singing, glorified the newborn Savior. The carols came from different regions of Ukraine and showed the richness of our people’s faith, living traditions, and strong spirit.

After the performance, Fr. Roman thanked the carolers for their service and encouraged everyone to continue carrying God’s light wherever we may be, so that darkness may be driven away from our hearts, our families, and our Ukrainian land. He also sincerely thanked everyone for their support, unity, and help during this difficult time of war.

At the end, Fr. Roman gave each person prosphora with honey as a symbol of unity and a reminder that we all belong to one great family of Christ.
The parish prosphora concluded with shared food and warm conversation, filled with the spirit of Christmas and brotherly love.

1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

So often in our lives, we worry about many things and fear the future. We want to calculate everything and feel secure in all areas. However, we forget that everything is in God's hands and that He is the Master of time and the Giver of all the goods we need for our lives. As St. Augustine said, "What do I have that I did not receive from the Lord?" The Lord never abandons those who love Him. Yes, love – because where there is love, there is no fear, but trust and the awareness that the Lord is with you.

God is present in every moment of our lives. He shares in our concerns, joys, and sufferings. He never leaves us. He is faithful to the end. So, let us lift our hearts from earthly worries, cast our cares on Him, and become witnesses to the great changes awaiting those who believe and trust in their Creator!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On this sacred occasion of the 33rd Anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day, we come together with hearts full of gratitude for all those who stand by us and offer their help and support in countless ways. Your efforts are deeply cherished and vital to us, reminding us that our Victory relies on each and every one of us.

As we reflect, we remember that our Savior, Jesus Christ, walked this Earth for 33 years. His final year was marked by betrayal, suffering, and crucifixion. But His story did not end in death; He rose from the grave. In His Resurrection, we find our Power, our Victory, and our Hope. Let us never forget this profound truth.

To our beloved soldiers, the warriors of light, to our tireless volunteers, and to all who stand with us—thank you from the depths of our hearts for your unwavering dedication, support, and love. It is only through our unity that we will overcome the darkness and bear witness to our Victory.

May God bless each and every one of you, and may His blessings be upon our cherished land.

Glory to Ukraine!

In solving any problem, it is important to keep in our hearts the Lord's Peace and act according to principles that do not contradict God's Commandments.
Trust in God + Prayer = miracles. Moreover, every problem is an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the Lord and feel His support and Love! For the Lord, there are no hopeless situations! He works beyond the logic of human thinking and imagination. As the Holy Scripture says: "With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27).

Living in fear is killing yourself, losing every second of life in vain. But most of all, it is losing trust and love for the Creator. As the Apostle Paul says, "Where there is fear, there is no love." We can justify ourselves by saying we are unloved, that we had no good example, that life is unfair...

It is never too late to open ourselves to the Love of our Heavenly Father, who loves us with infinite Love, who eagerly awaits this moment to be invited, to receive the keys to all our fears, to all the dark corners we are afraid to acknowledge before Him. For where He is, there is Life in its fullness.

Let us not be afraid to open our hearts to Him. He will not reproach or condemn, but only embrace and say, "I love you, my child." Do not fear, for fear is from the devil, and Love is from the Lord. The Lord sacrificed His Only Son to redeem us from the power of the devil, so that we would not be mocked by the devil, but true Children of God, Children of Light!

Trust in God! Do not be afraid! God is with us!
