When I was a kid growing up in the 80s, going to church and bringing your family with you was a priority. It wasn’t just something you did; it was part of who you were. Church was non-negotiable in our week, but sadly, over the years, I’ve watched that value slowly fade in many homes across America. There’s been a noticeable decline in how seriously people take church, and honestly, it breaks my heart. You know, some of the best memories of my life are tied to being in God’s house. The joy, the friendships, the moments in His presence, they have shaped who I am today. Church wasn’t just a place we went, but it was where we encountered God, where we grew, and where our family found strength. So, let me just say this... If you’ve stopped going to church, or maybe you’ve never really gone consistently, you’re missing something deeply valuable. You’re missing the presence of God that can refresh your weary soul. You’re missing the joy of worship that lifts burdens you didn’t even realize you were carrying. You’re missing the encouragement of a church family who will pray with you, stand with you, and believe with you when life gets hard. You’re missing the power of the Word; not just to inform you, but to transform you. You’re missing moments when your children witness what real faith looks like, when they see Mom and Dad lift their hands in surrender, hear the Word preached with passion and fire, and watch lives be changed at the altar. Those are the moments that shape a generation. Please hear me, church isn’t just a tradition, but it’s a lifeline. It’s where healing happens, where hope is restored, and where purpose is discovered. I know life is busy and Sundays are packed, or it's your only day to rest, but there is nothing more important than making room for God in your week. So, I’m inviting you to come and to bring your family. Plug in and make a connection with God. I promise you, the time you spend in God’s house will never be wasted. In fact, it might just be the very thing your heart, and your family, has been missing.
