I stopped making resolutions a long time ago. Instead, I take the first week of the new year and write a prayer to guide me through the 365 days. Reflecting on our last .watertowine event of the year, “A Life Steeped in Prayer” (thank you to our guest speakers and a time was had!!) and sharing the prayer that guided me all 365 days of 2025:

“This year Lord I pray that I stand in the confidence that only comes from being in alignment with you. I pray that anxiety will not find a home within me… that I rise to every occasion. That my faith guides and leads my thoughts and that I experience everything you have set aside for me this year… while planting purposeful seeds for the years to come. I thank you in advance for the joy, growth, lessons and abundance this year will bring - DESPITE what’s happening around us. In Jesus name, Amen 🤎”

✨Happy New Year, everyone!! ✨

Jesus really is the reason🎄! Without him, none of this is possible. Feeling incredibly thankful to know Him deeply and personally and to know I’m surrounded by women who aren’t afraid to bless him name and speak his praises all year round! 🙌🏽

Merry Christmas to you and yours! ♥️✨

With love,
Charlene

PS Thank you for capturing this moment at our last .watertowine gathering, and to all the ladies — thank you for showing up and showing out in the best way!! 🎉✨

Give God your “little” and watch him multiply it! Look at this beautiful group of women 🤩! Still in awe of how this community continues to grow. In 2018 we gave God our little and he’s been multiplying it ever since. 🙌🏾🙌🏼

Below is one of our key takeaways from the last Wine and the Word:

✨What are you trying to accomplish in your own strength? What haven’t you given over to God? It’s important to remember that from Him, ALL blessings flow! Loosen your grip, and in faith, trust that God will take what you have and turn it into more than enough. That’s what He did when feeding the 5,000. He took those 5 loaves of bread and 2 pieces of fish and fed a multitude of people. So much so, that there were 12 baskets of food left over! Trust that God knows the abundance you seek, and will provide you with what you need. (Matthew 14:13-18 AMP)

The abundance you seek, you already have! What has God put in your hand? What aren’t you using? We were asked this question at the retreat, we asked it of the women at Wine and the Word… and now we’re asking you. What has God put in your hand? 🤲🏾

There’s nothing quite like watching your children develop their own personal relationship with Christ. We love to see it ! 💕💕

Repost from | Last year, I stopped making excuses for not returning to church after 2 years post-COVID. At the time, the decision was for myself, but my kids needed it more than I knew. What I did not know is how this girl of mine would grow to love Jesus. 🥰 She put in in her TikTok bio, has a "church clique" of friends, wants to wear all my church apparel, is always complimented by the teachers in her class, was asked to be in a start-up small leadership group for girls, and is always ready to tell me what they studied or what was said that brought her to tears.

As parents, we always think about how cute it is when our kids look like us, but rarely think about what it means for them to look like Jesus. How do we teach them to mirror Him? As with anything, it has been a practice.

My kids finally know the words more worship songs than "TikTok songs". I no longer have to push them into church -- they run inside. They no longer only pray over meals and at bedtime -- they pray for their friends, over their day in the car, for their safety in bad weather, etc. I put blessed oil on their heads, any time they leave me (yes, I'm that mom) -- but instead of thinking it's weird, they come asking for it now. Next month, we start Scripture memorization and they both want to get baptized this summer. 🥺

Our children do not belong to us -- they are on loan. Knowing that God chose me to raise them for HIS glory is an honor. I pray I make Him proud. 🙏🏾 //
