“Call to me and I will answer you.” - Jeremiah 33:3. Most people treat prayer like a last resort. God presents it as a first response. Jeremiah received this promise in confinement - when life was uncertain, restricted, and heavy. God didn’t tell Jeremiah to “strategize” his way out. He simply said: "call to Me."

On the night before the cross, Jesus also was in anguish. Scripture says His soul was “overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” What did He do? He called to the Father. Not once, but repeatedly. He brought the full weight of His suffering, His desire (“let this cup pass”), and His surrender (“yet not my will, but Yours be done”), to God.

This is what calling to God looks like. Honest dependence. God didn’t answer by removing the cup, but by strengthening Him to carry it - giving Him divine strength and clarity in the middle of it all.

Prayer is about receiving what you need, but can’t see. For example - perspective, strength, or alignment with God’s will.

Practically, this means:

- When you feel overwhelmed → call to God like Jesus did, not after you’ve exhausted yourself, but first.
- When you want relief → be honest, but stay surrendered.
- When you don’t understand what God is doing → trust that He may answer with revelation, not removal.

God answers prayer, but His greatest answers aren’t always easier paths… but a stronger heart, clearer vision, or deeper surrender in Him.

Call to Him. He will answer.

Do you ever wonder why every time someone in Scripture comes face-to-face with the full holiness of God, they collapse - face to the ground, undone, and in awe?

When Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up, he didn’t stand tall - he cried out, “Woe is me.” When Ezekiel beheld the glory of God, he fell on his face. When John saw the risen Christ in Revelation, he didn’t reach out - he dropped as if he was dead.

It's because holiness isn’t just “goodness” turned up a little higher. It's a completely different category. It's purity so absolute, power so uncreated, and glory so overwhelming, that everything that's "human" (our pride, self-importance, and illusions of control), collapse.

We tend to think that if we saw the Father face-to-face, we’d feel affirmed. But the truth is, we would feel exposed. Not because God desires to crush us - but because His holiness reveals what we truly are - and what He truly is.

Yet, here’s the miracle: The same God whose holiness causes us to fall on our faces in awe… is the same God who entered into human suffering to restore us, and to absorb the judgment we deserved.

This is the paradox of the Gospel: The holiness that brings us to our knees, is the same holiness that makes a way for us to stand.

This message centers on the claim spoken by Jesus Christ in John 14:6—that He alone is “the way, the truth, and the life.”

1. The Exclusivity of Christ
Jesus did not say a way—He said the way. Scripture confirms this truth:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 KJV)

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5 KJV)
The gospel is not one path among many—it is the only door (John 10:9). Salvation is not found in philosophy, man made religion, or human wisdom, but in a Person—Jesus Christ.

2. The Truth Revealed in Christ
Many seek truth, but truth is not merely something to be discovered—it is revealed in Christ Himself:

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17 KJV)

Jesus is the living Word (John 1:1,14). To reject Him is to reject truth itself.

3. The Life Through His Resurrection
The image claims Jesus rose from the dead—and this is the foundation of the Christian faith:

• “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.” (Matthew 28:6 KJV)

• “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore.” (Revelation 1:18 KJV)

Because He lives, He gives life:

• “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 KJV)

4. The Call to Respond
This truth demands a response. It is not enough to admire Jesus—you must believe and receive Him:

• “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9 KJV)

Final Exhortation
The issue is not comparing religious figures—it is whether you have come to Christ. The Bible does not present Him as one teacher among many, but as the Saviour of the world (1 John 4:14).

So the question becomes personal:
Will you trust your own way… or will you come to the One who said,
“I am the way, the truth, and

Holy Week — Silent Saturday

Jesus was in the tomb.

His body had been taken down, wrapped in linen, and laid behind a stone.

The One who healed the sick, raised the dead, and calmed the storm…was now still.

The women who followed Him and saw where He was laid. They prepared spices and oils ready to return. But Scripture says they rested on the Sabbath in obedience (Luke 23:55–56).

Even in grief, even in confusion…they honored God.

The disciples? Scattered. Hiding. Afraid.

Everything they thought they knew…everything they believed was about to happen…looked over.

But the religious leaders weren’t resting. They went to Pilate and said: “We remember what He said…that He would rise.”

Even they remembered the promise. So they secured the tomb. The stone was sealed. Guards were posted (Matthew 27:62–66).

From the outside…it looked final.
But heaven was not silent.

While His body lay in the tomb…Jesus was not defeated.

Scripture tells us: “He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit, in which He went and proclaimed…” (1 Peter 3:18–19)

And “When He ascended on high, He took many captives and gave gifts to His people…He also descended to the lower earthly regions.” (Ephesians 4:8–10)

The grave was not holding Him. He was conquering it. Taking back what was lost.

Because later He would declare: “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” (Revelation 1:18)

Saturday didn’t look like victory though.

It looked like silence. Stillness. Waiting.
But behind the stone… war was being won.

Saturday is the space we don’t like. The in-between. Between promise…and fulfillment.
Between heartbreak…and resurrection.

This is the day where: Prayers feel unanswered. God feels quiet. And nothing looks like it’s changing.

Saturday teaches us: Just because God is silent…doesn’t mean He is absent.

If you find yourself in a Saturday season: waiting…grieving…wondering where God is…

remember this:
The same Jesus who was working behind a sealed tomb… holding the keys to death, hell, and the grave…is still working in the silence.

It’s Saturday. But Sunday is coming.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. It refers to His rising from the dead on the third day after His crucifixion, as recorded in the Gospels (Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20).

📖 1. The Reality of the Resurrection
After being crucified and buried, Jesus physically rose again. The tomb was empty, and many witnesses saw Him alive.
“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said…” (Matthew 28:6)
Witnesses included the women at the tomb, the disciples, and over 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:6).

✝️ 2. The Power of the Resurrection
The resurrection proves:
Victory over sin and death (Romans 6:9)
Jesus is the Son of God (Romans 1:4)
Our justification before God (Romans 4:25)
Without the resurrection, faith would be empty (1 Corinthians 15:17).

🌅 3. The Promise of the Resurrection
Because Jesus rose again, believers have hope:
New Life Now – A transformed life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Future Resurrection – Eternal life with Him (John 11:25)
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life…”

🙏 4. The Response to the Resurrection
The resurrection calls for a response:
Believe in Him (Acts 16:31)
Repent and follow Him (Luke 24:46–47)
Live a victorious Christian life (Romans 6:4)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just an event—it is a living truth that gives hope, power, and purpose. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.
