According to a recent study, more than 20% of the 50,000 Jewish households in San Diego are impacted by poverty. Their needs are diverse, from housing, employment and transportation, to food, household goods, and medical services . Circumstances vary from recently unemployed young families, to widows and divorcees living alone. From parents and children in crisis and the physically or psychologica
lly disabled, to individuals whose financial situations have deteriorated merely through unfortunate uncontrollable circumstances, such as the pandemic. TKI is an efficient and effective organization involving dedicated individuals committed to meeting the basic needs of vulnerable Jewish households in San Diego County, with dignity, kindness, confidentiality and respect. The Kindness Team develops customized plans to address resource and support needs of each Member and assists in navigating and accessing services and financial aid.
