Time flies when you're having fun 🥳 Last month we celebrated 6 years since our "official" launch and 3 years since we chartered as a congregation! Thank you to everyone who made this day special: Volunteers who signed up to bring food, Mike for leading the meeting, Lindsay for coordinating the celebration, and Amanda (.partyco) for decorating the tables (and coming up with a great activity to keep the kids occupied during the meeting)!

There's always room for firsts! 😄 This morning when we rolled up to the storage facility to pick up the church trailer, the keypad worked ("Access granted!") but the gate didn't budge. Our best guess was the power outage last night caused damage. After multiple attempts to get in touch with the manager (even the person we spoke to at the corporate office couldn't get in touch!) we decided, "It's gonna be alright anyway" and headed to the school.

The team was already in action. Chairs lined in a semi-circle and a little cozier than usual. Coffee brewing (thank goodness Crystal had all the supplies!). Teachers getting creative with their lesson plans. The band leaned into the "camp singalong" vibe with the songs. Members ran home or to the store to grab extension cords, coffee cups, and a mini sound system. The school let us borrow a projector. And you know what? It wasn't much different than a typical Sunday! Because the things that mattered most -- the people of God and God's presence among us -- were already there.

So are we thankful for all those "extras" we keep in the church trailer? Definitely! But was today a wonderful reminder that those things ARE indeed just extras? YES!!!
