My Name is Timothy Birt. Founder of Signature Singing voice lessons of San Antonio. I am a classically trained vocalist who has both taught and performed multiple styles of music for more than 20 years both in the United States and abroad. The First Note
When I found out I could sing, it wasn't something I confirmed for myself. No, it was most definitely confirmation from others that ultimately led me to believe that I could sing. Had it been left up to me, I might never have sung publicly. Its that encouragement that has led me to believe that in the beginning when teaching singers there must be a positive reinforcement. This allows the singer that much needed validation that will ultimately propel them onto the stage past their initial fears and insecurities. Once this self confidence has been built up now they can begin to master the craft of singing. As a teacher it is my job to ensure that each of my students recognizes that they are not only singers but artists as well, capable of conveying great beauty and passion through performance. As an instructor it is my desire to share with them all of the knowledge I have gained through study, teaching, and performance these past 20 years of my professional career.
