The Bloody Bride
By: Danaye Franek
Did you know she has been divorced 5 times? Did you see what she was wearing? Did you see him drinking that beer? I think I saw them walking into a club last Saturday? She is a Jezebel! He is a Leviathan! She is a witch!
I am so angry and hurt at what the body of Christ does to each other. Im sick of the constant name calling! I’m sick of saying this person is that spirit or that spirit when in the Bible if someone had an evil spirit it was cast out not turned into slander of your brother or sister! What are we doing church?
What is this gospel we preach and say we lay hold of? This is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ!
We are only picking up stones to kill each other and hiding so they can’t see us throwing the stones!
Where is the love? As I read 1 Corinthians 12:12-36 and think about us being different parts of one body I feel as if we are all getting out a knife to slice our own wrist over and over. This is what the Lord must see. It vexes my spirit!
How about LOVING your neighbor as yourself? Does anyone know what that means anymore?
In the church world their is so much backbiting, gossip and tearing down of each other. The Lord must see a completely decapitated body. Do you think he is coming for a bloody bride?
What about the verse that says if you say you love God and hate your brother then you are a liar? 1 John 4:20
We better throw that one out the door too.
Shoot, let’s just burn all the love verses and never use them again.
We need to repent! Do you understand! We ALL need to repent!!!
If you are mocking, slandering, or tearing down brothers and sisters in Christ you are doing it to their FATHER! You are abusing someone Jesus died on the cross to save. HE LOVES THEM!
How dare you! How dare you call yourself a follower of Christ and kill your siblings?
Yes, I said KILL! Because Jesus said if you hate someone you are a murderer at heart.
I want to dare you to change. Wouldn’t it be great if the next time you hear someone say something against their brother or sister in Christ that you said to them “Cast your stones!”
What if that caused a change where we were no longer comfortable not loving people like Christ told us to.
It can start with us.
