The San Antonio Hill Country Stake held their annual Fiesta last Saturday was an absolute hit, and our hearts are still full! We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who jumped in to make this celebration so joyful and unforgettable.

Here are a few highlights from the day:

The Food: From mouthwatering barbecue pork to the heroic effort of flipping 1,000 quesadillas (yes, you read that right!), nobody went home hungry! 🍴

The Fun: Each unit brought their A-game with wildly creative activities that kept the energy high all afternoon. 🎈

The Show: A massive shoutout to our amazing youth for a spectacular, show-stopping performance that truly stole the heart of the event! 🌟

More than just the food and games, there’s something truly special that happens when we gather as a community. Hearts were lifted, friendships were strengthened, and the Spirit was felt in every smile. 💛

“He is not here—He has risen.” (Matthew 28:6)

The stone was rolled away.
The tomb stood empty.
Death was not the end.

Because Jesus Christ lives, no ending is ever truly final.

Russell M. Nelson taught:
“The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate expression of His love for each of us.”

Because of Him, there is hope—
for every broken heart,
every unanswered prayer,
every loss we carry.

This Easter, pause and remember:
because He lives, hope lives too.

As the Savior made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the people welcomed Him with praise, crying out, “Hosanna” (Matthew 21:9). In the days that followed, Jesus taught of His divine mission—to save each of us.

This sacred week reminds us not only of what He did, but why He came.

Take a moment to reflect:
Have you ever been in a situation where you needed help—where you couldn’t do it on your own?

What might have happened if help hadn’t come?
And how did it change the way you felt about the one who stepped in?

The truth is, all of us need saving.

We each face things we cannot fix alone—mistakes we can’t undo, losses we can’t replace, and burdens too heavy to carry by ourselves.

Because of Jesus Christ, we are never left to face those things alone.

His mission is personal. His love is constant. And His power to save is real.

What a wonderful conference the La Cantera Texas Stake experienced last weekend! They were blessed to have Elder Yoon Hwan Choi preside who shared inspired counsel that uplifted and strengthened the area.

His messages encouraged stake members to:

• Have joy and write down what they feel as the Spirit teaches them.
• Minister with purpose by learning more about the members they serve, visit intentionally, and share what they are learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Know the rising generation. Learn their names and understand who they are.
• Be missionary minded and “Open Your Mouth!” Set a daily reminder at 9:30 PM to pray for the missionaries serving in our area.
• Engage in family history work. Find one person or one ancestor, prepare that name, and take it to the temple.

As we act in faith on this counsel, we trust that the Lord will provide the strength and ability to follow through. What a blessing it is to gather, receive direction, and move forward together in discipleship.

"For the past couple of months, members of the San Antonio Hill Country Stake, along with our Christian and Muslim friends, joined Master Thien and the Lien Hoa Buddhist community in preparing for their Lunar New Year celebration. Together, we added over 1,000 flowers to the trees, cleaned and organized storage areas and set up tables and chairs. This past weekend we helped with extensive grounds clean-up.

"We have been blessed to serve together, an experience that beautifully coincided with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, a meaningful reminder of unity, compassion, and what can happen when a community works side by side.

"These moments of shared service strengthen friendships, deepen understanding, and remind us that despite our different backgrounds, we are truly one community.

"In a quiet moment, I was reminded that faith can bring us together in beautiful and unexpected ways. A Muslim friend from the Raindrop foundation asked if there was a place where he could pray. We found a private place within the Buddhist temple.

"It was a sacred reminder that when we look beyond our differences, we see what matters most: our shared desire to serve, to lift, and to love. In serving together, we were not defined by our different paths, but by our common purpose: to “Always Remember Him.”

"We have felt deep gratitude to stand among friends of different faiths, all of us striving to follow God and bless His children. It was a glimpse of the harmony that is possible when we choose unity, respect, and love." - Cindi Beattie (Hill Country Stake Relief Society President) Lien Hoa English Sangha
