"9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. Today is Good Friday. One this day we remember how Jesus paid the price that our sins deserved. It is an intense scene to think about Jesus suffering and dying on the cross. And yet, this is your salvation being won. This is how your sins have been forgiven. This brought joy to Jesus.

Today is "Maundy Thursday" because on this day Jesus gave a command (or mandate) to his disciples to love one another. He also instituted the Lord's Supper. Read John chapter 13 and the first part of Matthew chapter 26.

Today is sometimes called "Silent Wednesday." This is because we don't have information on what Jesus did on this day of Holy Week. Some people use this day to think about Judas' betrayal of Jesus (but this could have been on Tuesday). You can use this day to prepare for Thursday by reading Exodus 12.
