Paul Meets Jesus: Last Sunday, our Journey Kids learned about Paul's amazing encounter with Jesus on the way to Damascus. The Pre-K class enacted how Paul's friends led him to the city when the encounter left him blind (Acts 9:8).

Join us this weekend, at Journey Kids, Sunday at 9 AM or 11 AM, or online at www.vbvf.org to continue studying Paul's letters to the church.

Monday Moments with God
“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2

People and Places
a. Blindfold your child and place them in front of a map or globe and have them point to specific spot. Now pray together for the people in that specific country, region, state, etc.
b. Take a picture of a map and cut it into pieces like a puzzle. Ask your child to put the picture back together (Have them race against the clock for some added fun) and pray for our “broken” world and ask God to help those who are hurting and for endurance for his people as we evangelize to the lost and await his return.

“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them...”
Psalm 127:3-5

These days many of us are trying to do three jobs at once: parenting, teaching and work-from home employee. It’s easy to feel like none of those jobs are getting done well. Parenting alone can be stressful. Days of cleaning, cooking, washing, conflict resolution and tantrums seem to never end and never get better.

Be encouraged, fellow Journey Kids parents…nothing we do every day has such eternal value as the investment we make into our children. We may never feel like we “do” enough according to those to-do lists, but God sees the walks, the long talks, the ears that listen, and hearts that comfort our precious gifts from heaven. He smiles as we put away our lists to sit and build those block towers, paint another picture, stop to teach a Christ-like way to resolve a sibling conflict or simply stop to hold our little bundles joy. For in those moments, His kingdom is being built, as we turn our children’s hearts and eyes for eternity.

Monday Moments with God

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the [a]ministry of the word.”
Acts 6:4
We may not be able to gather as a church, but we can still pray for our church and its leadership. They are working hard and seeking direction for our church body during this time of change for our world. Be sure to lift up our incredible Journey Kids Children’s Ministry Director, Sofi Smith and her family, as she courageously leads us from her home. Thank you for all you do, Sofi!

Church
a. Be Creative! Find something around your home to make the letters VBVF! We want to see who is the most creative so don’t forget to post!
b. After your “VBVF” is created, take time to pray for our church, our pastor, our Journey Kids teachers, the elders in our church, the members in our church who are sick, your friends at church, etc.
